In the following pages, we tell where we have come, why we exist, what we are doing and where we are going!. We give examples of the amazing work that Friends of the Family is doing and how your support can make a real di erence in the lives of those in need.
We would love for you to spread the word about Friends of the Family and invite your friends and family to become a Legacy Builder.
In His Name,
Since 1994, Friends of the Family has served the Willamette Valley promoting healthy relationships and healthy homes through education and counseling.
Kenneth HImes, founder of Friends of the Family, was a connector, whether helping people forge healthy relationships in their homes, or helping faith communities and the larger community come together for common causes. His work took him into the counseling o ce as a relationship coach and therapist, and into the community as relationship skills educator and community networker. He enjoyed discovering gaps in relationships at all levels, and building bridges to span those gaps -marriages were restored, parent-child relationships healed, engaged couples formed solid foundations, churches and schools became partners, state social services and faith communities bene tted the poor and the outcast, and children found foster homes and safety.
In XXXX, after serving XX years as a pastor, Dave Jackson was appointed Executive Director to carry on the leadership and legacy of Kenneth Himes.

Our goal is to restore the Biblical Legacy of Marriage and Family
Marriages are at an all-time low. We know that a Healthy Family Structure is a Solid Foundation.
● It provides sound emotional and intellectual development.
● It helps resolve behavioral issues and promote healthy psychological development.
● It boosts individual thinking and personal self-worth when thoughts are expressed in an accepting environment.
● It provides proper role models for children, laying the foundation for strong values.
● It fosters emotional trust in a loving environment, leading to empathy and compassion for others.
● It displays unconditional love, creating security and acceptance of God’s unconditional love for us.
We provide the keys to Build a Legacy of healthy homes and marriages. . .
“One generation of Christian marriage well lived would transform the world.”

The skills developed in The Third Option are helpful for any marriage, and couples attending the program range from those on the brink of divorce to those yearning to make a good marriage even better. Many couples assume that their marriage is strong and e ective, and don’t invest the time to ensure that it grows better over time. Then, all it takes is a new stressproblems with jobs, kids, parents, or health- and even the best marriage becomes frayed or unraveled. Developing the right skills and sensitivity is the best way to ensure that a good marriage grows even better.
“It is not your love that sustains the marriage, but from now on, the marriage that sustains your love.”
