Announcing the 3rd annual COLONIAL ROTTWEILER CLUB 2025 Promising Puppy Contest
The CRC board would again like to highlight some of the promising young Rottweilers our members have bred and/or own. In the second quarter 2025 newsletter we will again be featuring a Promising Puppy section. Age groups will be 3 to 12 month puppy dog and 12 to 24 month junior dog. Last year’s winners are pictured on the next page.
If you have a puppy you would like to enter in this contest, please email the following information: dog’s call name, dog’s registered name, birthdate, sire/dam, breeder and owner, along with a photo to the editor, Liz Wertz at liz@vonwertz.com. Photo can either be a side profile, a front-on or movement shot. The cost to feature your puppy on a color half page is $60. If you take out a full-page color ad (normally $120), the cost to include a promising puppy ad drops to $30 – so $150 for both. Deadline for submission is April 15, 2025.
Payment can be made by check to Patrice McAllan, CRC Treasurer, 15444 Pinehurst Forest Dr., Montpelier, VA 23192. Alternatively, you can pay via http://colonialrottclub.org/nladvertising/ which utilizes PayPal as the payment platform. Choose half page and be sure to note payment is for a Promising Puppy ad.
Voting will take place in late May once all members have received their newsletter with the Promising Puppy section. It will be done through Survey Monkey via a direct link that will be emailed to all members. Members will be asked to vote for the overall winner in each age group. Members will only be allowed to vote once. When the results are tabulated and the winners are identified, they will be announced via a separate MailChimp email to members and on the CRC Facebook page. The two top winning dogs will receive a complimentary full-page color ad in an upcoming CRC newsletter of their choice and lots of notoriety!
