Facility access Cards COMING FOR A VISIT? All residents aged 10+ must have their own card to gain access to any of the Century Hall indoor or outdoor facilities.

DON’T HAVE A CARD? Century Hall must see a copy of your ID showing proof of residency, in order to receive your permanent membership cards. If you have misplaced your card, a replacement can be purchased at the front desk for $5.00.

The Birthday Party Package includes 2 hours in both the Gym and the Riverside Room simultaneously; access to the drop-in gym equipment; five rectangle tables & 25 chairs set up in the Riverside room. Kitchen (located upstairs) access is also available. Maximum 25 guests.

Minimum two hour rental for Heritage Room(s)

Additional Charges: After Hours Security fee applies for rentals ending between 9pm and 1:00am.

After Hours Teardown fee applies for rentals ending between 8:30pm and 1:00am.

SOCAN and Re:Sound fees apply for bookings with music and/or dancing. $300.00 damage deposit cheque and proof of insurance is required for all rentals.

Program Fees All of our programs are open for Cranston residents and non-residents. The cost is listed under each program description.

Cranston Resident Rate (RR) The Cranston Resident Rate applies to all Cranston Residents in good standing.

Tenants may also receive the Cranston Resident Rate if the Landlord is in good standing and has transferred their membership privileges.

Brookfield Resident Rate (BR) The Brookfield Resident Rate applies to all residents who live in a community which has been developed by Brookfield Residential. Some examples of these communities are Auburn Bay, New Brighton, Mckenzie Town, Mckenzie Lake, Seton, Scenic Acres and Shawnessy. Please call, or come in to register so we can apply the BR discount.

Non-Resident Rate (NR) The Non-Resident Rate applies to all other registrants.

How to Register Online: www.cranstonra.ca If you are a Cranston resident you are already in our system. Please do not create a new account. Instead, contact us to send you a log-in for your preexisting account. If you need to add family members to your account you may do so once you log in. In order to receive Member rates you must contact us to activate the membership for each added person.

Cancellation Due to Low Enrollment All classes are subject to cancellation if there is insufficient registration. Participants are reminded to register early to ensure their desired program runs.

Should a class be cancelled due to insufficient registration, you will be notified by email one day prior to the commencement of the program.

When a program is cancelled due to insufficient registration you have the following options: 1. Transfer participant to another program. Subject to space availability.

2. Receive an Account Credit on your registration account.

3. Receive a refund for the full amount of the program registration.

Withdrawals/ Refund Requests All withdrawal requests must be provided in writing to the Program & Events Coordinator, by email to: programs@cranstonra.ca.

ONCE THE PROGRAM HAS STARTED, A $20 administration fee is charged per participant, per program. No refunds will be issued for program withdrawal requests after two weeks of the program start date unless for medical reasons and documentation is provided.

Transfers All transfer requests must be provided in writing to the Program & Events Coordinator, by email to: programs@cranstonra.ca. All transfers are subject to space availability. Program fee differences may apply. No program transfers will be permitted after two weeks of the program start date unless for medical reasons and documentation is provided.

Medical Exceptions A doctor’s note must accompany withdrawal / transfer requests due to medical reasons. A pro-rated refund will be issued in the form of a cheque or an Account Credit.

Photos/ Videos Photos and/or videos may be taken by the Cranston Residents Association staff during events and registered programs. These may be used for future promotional materials. If you have any questions, please contact the Program & Events Coordinator at programs@cranstonra.ca

Grinch Tree Workshop Thursday December 14th at 6:30pm RR:$50 NR$60 Flower Aura by Natasha is local floral studio, that praises itself on high quality of our material, prompt delivery, close communication with our customer and custom made designs for every occasion. We are very passionate about flowers and we love anything related to that. Our motto is "Bringing flowers into your life!" So we share our skills and knowledge at the DIY workshops. For this holiday season we offer creating of your own "Grinch Tree" . Use fresh winter evergreens and decorations to let your creativity fly. All materials, instructions and tools are provided.

2-3 years (Parented): 9:15AM-9:55am 3-5yrs (unparented): 10:00Am-10:55am Sportball Multi-Sport skills development programs introduce preschool and primary school children to the concepts and skills involved in the eight core sports of the Sportball methodology. The programs reinforce the benefits of teamwork and skills development rather than the importance of winning, enabling children to gain the confidence and develop the social skills necessary to succeed in sport and life.

Children are introduced to fundamental concepts of gameplay and provided the basic skills required to score with confidence in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Half of the classes zero in on soccer skills including: throw-ins, dribbling, trapping, passing, goalie skills and more. The other half of the classes help children develop T-ball skills such as throwing, catching, correct batting form, running bases, fielding and positional play.

6:30PM - 7:30pm In this introduction to musical theatre students will learn all the music, words and a choreographed dance to a song that they will perform for their families on the last day of class. (4-6 yrs): 5:30pm-6:30pm (7-12 yrs): 6:45PM - 7:45pm Children and horses have a unique and special bond. Now students can learn all about horses and their care from the newest Little Veterinarian School Equine program. The first two lessons include adopting and naming a plush horse. Other practical information includes a brief overview of horses, the ideal horse farm, and many other basics. Our young veterinarians will learn about the anatomy and maintenance of a horse. Some of the key parts discussed are hooves, tail, mane, teeth, organs, and bones. The maintenance lesson includes bridling, saddling, brushing, feeding, exercising, and shoeing. They will also learn about the basics of nutrition and vet care for a horse. Finally, graduation includes careers involving horses and student presentations. Like all of our other programs, students will enjoy their own mini graduation ceremony at the end celebrating their accomplishments.

(6-9 years): 4:30-5:30pm (10-13 years): 5:30-6:20pm Circus Aerials are a combination of dance, technique, strength and fitness combined to create a beautiful acrobatic dance in the air supported by safety regulated tricot fabric. Classes include Aerial silks skills and techniques, students will learn proper knots, flips, hangs, and strength poses. Instructor Shy Kotkas of En L’air Academy of Dance is fully insured and trained. She has been performing and teaching Circus Aerials for 6 years and only teaches skills that students are physically prepared to succeed in. Our classes are safe and occupy proper progressions for maximum safety. Students must wear 3 quarter tights, bare feet and body suits to class. Loose clothing may be caught in fabric or hinder a students ability to navigate the silks.

Other areas that have seen improvement include reduced bone loss, lower body strength, helps with arthritis, decreased blood pressure, balance and stability. Tai Chi is also used for patients with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, MS and many other conditions.
