Dear Parents,
After a very busy Summer, we cannot wait to welcome you all on Monday to see the Prep School in our new abode (see below for diary details).
Following a full three days of academic, pastoral and administrative training, as well as plenty of unpacking boxes and setting up learning spaces, we were over-the-moon to welcome back your girls on Thursday morning.
It truly is all about the children, they make the school come alive with their chatter, laughter, questions and curiosity. We are quickly becoming accustomed to our new accommodation and the girls are enjoying newfound levels of responsibility and independence as Year 5 and Year 6.
With the glorious sunshine today, came the welcome news that safety checks had been finalised on the relocated play equipment and the girls enjoyed climbing all over their familiar and well-loved rope bridges, climbing poles and play fort.
We started our time together on Thursday morning with assembly in the chapel which resounded with our beautiful singing of ‘Give me joy in my heart’ and we commenced our journey into this year’s whole school theme of Compassion.
And so I would like to close my opening bulletin with the same quote used in assembly, from Nelson Mandella: Best wishes,

WELCOME BACK!
It has been a wonderful summer for the Equestrian team: the sun shone and there were a variety of activities from Pony Mornings to BHS Training. It’s been lovely to see some familiar faces and to meet some keen new riders who want to explore their love of all things Equestrian.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STE TERM STARTS W/C 15th SEPTEMBER
We are really delighted that we have so many new riders registered with us for this coming Term and we look forward to welcoming them to the STE ‘family’.
Everyone is welcome to visit the Equestrian Centre to say hello to our lovely ponies/horses and meet the team, whether you ride with us or not. Spending time with horses has been shown to have a positive impact on an individual’s well-being and we heartly agree.
We look forward to seeing you all this coming term.

If you aren’t registered with us already, please visit our booking website by scanning this QR code to set up an account and then email us to book a lesson.
Termly lessons
If you are interested in termly lessons we still have availability for both our Termly Riding & Care Programme and the after school clubs, BHS Pony Stars (7-11) and BHS Challenge Awards (11+).

This Week
Bible Reading
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew.
‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life. Do not worry about what you will eat or drink; or about your body and what you will wear. Is there not more to life than food, and more to your body than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Reflection
Welcome back everyone to a new school year. It is always a little daunting starting a new school year.We have many different emotions; excited, worried and perhaps many others. But we are reminded in our reading not to worry, God has your back, He sees you and He loves you. Learn this week to listen to God’s voice to hear those words of affirmation; you got this.
Prayer
Lord, bring peace and calm to the storms that I may face this week or this year. Help me to listen toYour words of affirmation and of love. Help me this year to be my best and to know that you have me in the palm of your hands. I make this prayer through Christ our Lord.Amen.
“May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.”
