Message from the Headmaster Dear Parents, The focus on Children’s Mental Health Week included a wide range of activities for children in all year groups. Our Chronicle displays the many innovative ways that pupils managed to share their ideas, thoughts and find a way to relax during this busy period such as the use of creative arts, physical activity and taking time to enjoy a hot chocolate. This week, I particularly enjoyed viewing the work and creativity of Year 1 pupils designing model farms, Year 2 pupils who researched Amelia Earhart and plane design and the incredible pointillism artwork from our talented Year 3 pupils.
In science, Year 5 were able to watch a live demonstration of the circulatory system including the heart and lungs; it certainly was not for the squeamish. In Art, Year 7 pupils spent time mastering some fine art paper engineering which was inspired by the Bauhaus movement. Finally, I would like to bring to the attention of all pupils that the Distance and Staircase Challenges, organised by the Sports Department, are swiftly moving towards the finishing line and summit! There are only a few days left to register your efforts so keep up the good work and I look forward to announcing the results in next week’s assembly. Have a lovely weekend. Mr Everitt
