forthere(TianjincloseInmyroleasDirectorofSport&ExtraCurricularActivity,IvisitedChinaatapartnerinstitutioninthecityofTianjin,China.CranfordCommunityCollegehasalongstandingandrelationshipwithTIFERTInstituteforForeignEconomicRelationsandTrade)whichhasledtoanumberofexchangevisitsbystudentsandstaff,conferencesandotherbusinesspartnershipsbetweenwasaBusinessandEconomicstrip2weekstotheschoolandinOctober andBeijingThesignanew‘FriendshipAgreement’inBeijing.purposeofmyvisitwastostartplanningforadelegationOlympicswhichtakesplaceinvenuesaroundBeijingTianjin.Duringthevisit,Iwasinvitedtobeaspecialguestofhonourattheirannualsportsevent.Iwasveryimpressedbythewayinwhichtheyorganisedandrantheirsportsevent.ItreallywaslikeapracticeOlympicGames.Theopeningceremonyitselflastedforoneandahalfhoursandwasaspectacletobehold.Iwasinvitedtosayafewwordsduringtheopeningceremonyanditwasmypleasuretowatchsuchaninspiring,wellorganisedandenormousevent.Theconductofthestudentsduringthesportseventoutstandingandtheyallseemtotakesuchahugeprideintheirsport.Duringmystay,IwasprovidedwithatranslatorwhoaccompaniedmeeverywhereasmyMandarinisnottoogoodyet,butIdidtrymybest.ItooktheopportunitytovisittheGreatWallofChinawheretheywereholdingtheGreatWallMarathonwhichwasanotherincredibleexperience.Itwas285yards,includingpartofitalongtheGreatWallitself.Thiswasnomeanfeat!Iwenttoinspectthebrandnew‘OlympicFootballStadium’thattheyhavebuiltinTianjinandwhichthedelegationwilloutsidewithsheetsofplasticanditlookslikeahugeUFO.MostoftheOlympicfootballtournamentwilltakeplaceinthis
