OPERATOR WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS
Example The core test consist 90 multiple choice questions. Candidates are given 90 minutes to finish the Core exam. Each specialty examinations comprises of 26 multiple choice questions and there candidates are given 60 minutes to finish each specialty examination for mobile crane operator training.
The written exam of mobile crane operator written includes of a core examination in crane operation along with four crane specialty examinations. Crane operator certification requires ability in both the core and one or more specialty designations.

Example It is mandatory for all candidates to take the core examination, irrespective of the Specialties in which they want to be certified. Written exams are conducted as either paper/pencil tests (PPT) or computer-based tests (CBT), as stated under how to conduct tests.

CCO CERTIFICATION TIME LIMIT The mobile crane operator practical examinations show crane operation expertise and are available in three crane types: Candidates can give written exams (Core + Specialty) and a practical exam for the designations they seek certification in. Presentations are communication tools that can be used as demonstrations, lectures, speeches, reports, and more. Tests which are passed within the duration of 12 months count towards crane operator certification.
