Tetherow was named in 2006 after one of Central Oregon’s pioneers, Solomon Tetherow. His story is a true Central Oregon pioneering adventure and serves as an inspiration to the active Tetherow lifestyle. Tetherow Resort includes our golf course, three restaurants, event pavilion, pool, fitness facility, vacation rental homes, the Tetherow Lodges and real estate.

The centerpiece of Tetherow is the golf course, designed by David McLay Kidd. Tetherow is proud to be an Audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuary and was the first course in Oregon to achieve the certification.

ABOUT

TETHEROW’S HISTORY Tetherow honors the historic pioneer Solomon Tetherow, who led a wagon train party through this area in the mid-1800’s as it traveled from Missouri to Oregon. We embrace this spirit of leadership and adventure in everything we do.

Tetherow’s David McLay Kidd golf course, the Clubhouse and Tetherow Grill opened in 2008 and quickly won a wide variety of industry awards. The Clubhouse expanded in 2013 and The Row opened, followed by the Tetherow Lodges in 2014, and the event pavilion and pool in 2016. Solomon’s, Tetherow Sport and the Cafe opened in 2017, offering guests a full culinary experience. Please refer to the dining section for further details.

WHERE IS TETHEROW? Tetherow’s 700 acres are located on Bend’s west side, adjacent to the Deschutes National Forest and approximately ten minutes from downtown Bend and twenty minutes from Mt. Bachelor.

Airport transportation and ski shuttles to Mt. Bachelor are also available. Please call guest services for these rates and reservations.

N E W S PA P E R S / M A G A Z I N E S Magazines, activity guides and newspapers are kept in the guest services building. If you would like a specific paper during your stay, please let us know.

CHECK OUT PROCEDURES Check out is 11 am. Late departure fees may apply. All house keys must be returned to the front desk. Provided hot tub keys must remain in the home upon check out. We kindly request that you place all trash in trash bins, put dishes in the dishwasher and start the machine if needed.

HOUSEKEEPING Housekeeping is not provided in the vacation rental homes. However, a mid-stay clean is available for an additional fee. This service must be requested at time of booking, or with at least 72 hours given notice. Please contact guest services to schedule at 541.213.2405 or via email at reservations@tetherow.com.

Your vacation home is stocked with a starter amount of amenities. Once depleted, we recommend stopping a local supermarket for additional supplies.

SMOKING We prohibit tobacco products of any kind in the buildings (ie. cigarettes, marijuana, cigars, e-cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, etc.). Evidence of such activity in a home will result in additional cleaning fees.

PETS Dogs are only allowed in “pet friendly” designated homes, and must be requested at the time of reservation. Dogs must be leashed and directly supervised while on property and cannot be left unattended. There are to be a maximum of two dogs in a home at any time. Other animals are not approved. You are provided access to dog beds and bowls in the house, but items must be left upon check out. Persons arriving with a pet to a non-pet friendly home will be asked to board their pet, or will forfeit their stay and all monies paid.

WI-FI ACCESS Tetherow is pleased to offer our guests complimentary high speed wireless internet. No password is necessary, in the Clubhouse and restaurants. Within your home, please see the wi-fi information card on the refrigerator for the wi-fi network and password.

PA R K I N G Parking spots are available for each vacation rental home in the garage, driveway, or designated parking spaces on the street directly in front of the home.

TRAILS The area around Tetherow offers hundreds of miles of trails, from hiking and biking to skiing and running. Find your perfect trail on the AllTrails website at www.alltrails.com. It is also available in your app store to download.

GARBAGE SERVICES Garbage and recycle containers are in or near the garage. Our maintenance team will roll the containers to the curb every Monday evening for service Tuesday morning. Later in the day on Tuesday, they will roll them back The Alpine Trail connects Tetherow to Bend and the National Forest.

L A I R D C O F F E E C R E A M E R / S P E C I A LT Y I T E M The provided Laird Superfood creamers are a dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO coffee beverage enhancer. It combines a unique blend of coconut milk powder and Aquamin, a mineral-rich calcified sea algae. This creamer is nutrient-packed with coconut and red palm oil and the company is locally based in Sisters, OR. Enjoy!

D I S H WA S H E R We provide a starter pack of dishwasher detergent pods which include rinse aid. Please do not add additional rinse aid products, such as Jet Dry, to the dishwasher as it may cause damage to the dishwasher.

T H E R M O S TAT / WAT E R H E AT E R Your vacation rental thermostat is set to an optimal temperature in correlation with the season. It is set to “auto” mode, but can be adjusted by selecting “heat” or “cool” via the up/down arrows.

The hot water heater is set to 120 degrees F as a default. If you have any issues with the water temperature during your stay, please call guest services at 541.213.2405 to request assistance.

TV AND SOUND SYSTEMS Each home is equipped with two or more TVs and remotes. The input should be set to HDMI 1.

Use the small black SONY remote to power on the TV, and the larger Bend Broadband remote to change channels. Full instructions on how to use the remotes can be found next to the TVs. Your home also features a sound system to connect your devices to play music through the ceiling speakers.

HOT TUBS Each home features a private hot tub for guest use. Large striped towels are provided for hot tub use. These are located in the cupboards in the laundry room. The hot tub key is located in the home. Please see the hot tub instructions below.

To Open: 1. Unlock hot tub strap and unhook all four corners of the hot tub cover.

2. Fold the front half of the cover over the metal lifting arm onto the back half of the cover.

3. Lift the folded cover, including the lifting If you need help operating your hot tub, please let us know.

To Close: 1. Pull the cover and lifting arm down over the hot tub.

2. Unfold the front half of the cover.

3. Latch the hot tub cover using the four corner latches.

4. Pull the hot tub strap back over the hot tub and lock the strap.

To Use Hot Tub: Please shower prior to using the hot tub. Please do not add anything to the hot tub as this will negatively impact the balance and filtration, impacting your experience. If items are added to the hot tub this will result in an additional cleaning fee of $200. Please do not remove anything from the hot tub, as this will also negatively impact the balance, filtration and your experience, and may also result in additional cleaning fees.

To Use the Jets: If the jets are off, press JETS 1 button to turn on pump 1 to low speed. Pressing a second time will turn the pump on high speed. Pressing a third time will turn the pump off. Pumps will run for 15 minutes on high and 15 minutes on low before automatically turning off. To turn pumps back on, press the JETS 1 button again. If you would like to turn on the second set of jets, use the JETS 2 button as described above.

To Adjust the Temperature: To adjust the temperature of the water, press the TEMP +/- button. The first press of the button will display the set temperature and begin to flash. Continue to press or hold the TEMP +/- to reach the desired temperature. Once the display stops blinking the new temperature is set. The display will return to show the actual water temperature.

To Use the Lights: Press the LIGHT button to turn the interior spa lights on and off. Please do not use or adjust any other settings.

Changing other settings can negatively impact the hot tub’s ability to maintain the temperature and proper functions.

POLICIES

Guests will comply with all local laws, ordinances and community rules regarding the use of the home, as well as the terms of the rental agreement.

At no time shall the occupancy of the home exceed the designated maximum occupancy. The maximum number of guests is 2 persons per bedroom or sleeping loft. Children under the age of 5 years are not included when determining maximum occupancy. Occupancy limits will be strictly enforced.

Disorderly conduct or inappropriate behavior, such as loud parties, are not permitted. Deschutes County noise ordinances require all potentially disturbing noise to cease by 10PM. Any complaints about a guest by neighbors or police will be grounds to require the guest to vacate immediately, forfeiting all lodging monies and fees.

Tetherow may access the property during a guest’s stay to make any necessary repairs, in case of emergency, or to verify occupancy.

Guests are responsible for any damages, missing inventory, extra cleaning fees, and additional maintenance required. Per contract, you have authorized Tetherow Management to charge the credit card on file for any of these applicable charges, as well as any that result from failure to comply with Tetherow Management rental policies.

Rates are priced per home, per night and vary seasonally. Weekends and holidays often require a 3-5 night minimum stay during high-seasons or special events. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to reserve at Tetherow.

TETHEROW GOLF

ABOUT THE COURSE Tetherow Golf Club is an 18-hole championship semi-private resort course that boasts a distinctive layout by David McLay Kidd - the award-winning architect of Bandon Dunes and the Castle Course in Scotland. The 7,298-yard links-style course features imaginative routing lined by fescue grasses flowing magnificently with the natural terrain. Tetherow offers a diverse mix of holes framed by ragged bunkers and is surrounded by panoramic views of Oregon’s high desert and Cascade Mountains. Built at an elevation of nearly 4,000 feet, the golf course at Tetherow is open from April to October.

AUDUBON CERTIFIED Committed to preserving its natural landscape, Tetherow is an Audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuary and was the first golf course in Oregon to achieve the certification. N AT U R A L R E S O U R C E M A N A G E M E N T P L A N Our comprehensive resource plan guides the development and management of the property, in conjunction with the requirements and guidelines set forth by the Audubon Sanctuary program. Each year we work with Audubon International and our Advisory Committee to update our goals as we continue to improve our work in being a sustainable golf course. There are only 87 Audubon International certified signature sanctuary golf courses worldwide. We are proud to be one of them!

S U S TA I N A B I L I T Y

NOTEWORTHY FACTS There are: · 78 acres: Maintained turf grass (The average Bend-area course has approx.

110 acres of maintained turf grass.) · 9 acres: Lakes and wetlands. · 160 acres: Total golf course property · 73 of the 160 acres: Left natural or were renaturalized.

The grassing plan for the entire course is a blend of Fine Fescue and Colonial Bentgrass.

This combination of grasses creates a different look (the color) and feel (playability) on the golf course. It also dictates the resource management of the course. The grassing plan allows Tetherow to use half the amount of water, fertilizers and pesticides compared to other golf courses in the region. Grasses that are similar to the native grasses found in the high desert are more resistant and less ‘thirsty’ than many of the greener grasses. Some of the natural resources found on site were used during construction, including plant material, rock and soil. For instance, tricolored basalt was mined from the golf course (Hole 13) and used throughout the clubhouse, outbuildings, pathways and patio areas.

Our bunker sand is from the coastal town Florence, OR, not shipped in from Utah or Idaho.

•

Natural habitats: rock piles and snags have been retained to provide shelter for animal habitat.

•

The Lewis’ woodpecker is currently on the watch list for endangered species. We are working with the Cascade Bird Conservancy to help improve their nesting potential by placing bird boxes in strategic locations around the property.

•

Operational costs of implementing our Natural Resource Management Plan are comparable, if not lower than those of a non-signature development. This makes sustainability both a physical and financial reality.

COURSE DRESS CODE Tetherow wishes to maintain the highest standards of traditional golf, which includes property attire and etiquette. Collared shirts or golf industry apparel must be worn at all times. Denim is not permitted.

GOLFBOARDS & FINN SCOOTERS •

A golf board is a different way to get around a golf course compared to a traditional golf cart.

The solo rider stands upright and can choose between two speeds.

Finn Scooters are single rider electric golf carts that are sporty, invigorating and encourage ready golf.

Both transportation methods add a new dimension of fun, action and excitement while improving speed of play and reducing turf wear.

TETHEROW GOLF AC ADEMY On the eastern edge of the lower driving range, you will find our state-of-the-art golf training facility. This year-round game improvement academy is led by Tetherow’s PGA Professionals who have over 30 years combined experience in golf instruction. The two hitting bays allow for indoor/ outdoor practice and facilitate all-weather training. We offer clinics and lessons throughout the year utilizing TrackMan 4 dual radar technology and video assisted swing assessment and diagnostics. The Academy also uses E6 and TrackMan 4 software to offer simulator rentals for golf when the course is closed. THE ROW The Row is Tetherow’s relaxed pub experience and features delicious fresh food and multiple flat-screen TVs. It is open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and nightcaps. It is located in the Clubhouse to the left of the main entry. The Row does not take reservations. You may call The Row directly at 541.213.2429 with questions about hours and menu items.

TETHEROW CAFE Tetherow Cafe is housed on the main level of the Tetherow Sport building and offers a delicious, fresh selection of made-to-order and grab-and-go options. Sandwiches, bowls, salads, smoothies, coffee drinks and a full bar are available. Enjoy the entire menu poolside as well!

“THE TURN” SNACK SHACK Located on hole 9 of the golf course, this is an easy walk from your vacation rental. Here you can rejuvenate with fresh snacks, lunches and beverages. Menus are available in the golf carts for call-ahead ordering. Open during golf season only. Inquire at the Golf Shop before tee off.

Tetherow’s heated outdoor pool is accompanied by two hot tubs (one of which is family-friendly), cabanas, fire pits and plenty of space for relaxing and unwinding. The pool area offers a family changing room with easy access for families of all ages. Complimentary towels are provided at the Tetherow Sport front desk.

Cabanas: Cabanas are available for rent. Please inquire at the Tetherow Sport front desk about cabana specials and reservations.

Children: Children 13 and under must always be accompanied at all Tetherow Sport facilities, and age limits apply to specific settings.

Swimming & Fitness: Swimming, cardio and weight machines, steam room and sauna are available for Tetherow members and lodging guests at no charge. Scheduled fitness classes are available for all lodging guests for a nominal fee and on a first-come, first-served basis.

W H AT I S A S O C I A L / AT H L E T I C M E M B E R S H I P ?

All property owners at Tetherow who do not apply for and become Resident Golf Members, or any resident Golf Member who resigns the membership while retaining ownership of their property must maintain a Social/Athletic Membership in Tetherow Golf Club. Membership entitles owners to the full use of the clubhouse and all recreational facilities of the Club and preferential membership pricing at all of the facilities within the resort community.

Yes. Immediate family members, including children under the age of 25 will be able to use the Club facilities.

Tetherow Residential Guidelines will ensure all improvements are compatible with the design objectives and overall design vision of the Tetherow Community. The guidelines will be administered and enforced by the Tetherow Owners Association Architectural Review Committee (the “ARC”). For Tetherow, diverse architectural harmony will be accomplished through the use of a controlled range of complementary forms, materials and colors appropriate for the character, climate and resources of Central Oregon. The character of the homes should take their cue from the established traditions of Oregon and the Northwest.
