Lyra (Studio)

Sat 1 July, 11am & 4pm (1 hour)

A new dance theatre show for ages 6+ and their families

Lyra is delighted to present the world premiere of a new Catherine Wheels production by Bridie Gane.

Somewhere, on an island, Gail, a geckolike creature lives alone, in harmony with the surroundings. Everything matches, everything is perfect.

Unfortunately, Gail is not alone for long. A stranger arrives, laden with earthly belongings and starts setting up home, disturbing this island sanctuary. However, the forecast is for rising water levels and soon there won’t be space for either of them…

The show will begin with a short performance by Lyra’s Young Company.

(also performed as part of Lyra’s Garden Party, see opposite page)

Outdoor performance for all ages by Glasgow theatre company Adrenalism

Two chickens, a turkey and ‘Hennio Morricone’ (the live poultry band) along with audience members of all ages; work together to explore being brave in the face of ‘danger’ to create the grand shootout finale of every cowboy film ever made.

Join in throughout and help figure out who stole the giant egg…It’s high noon, and the cockerels must crow…draw their guns and go and hide…
