Angela Catlin is an award-winning human rights photographer and documentarian born in Greendykes.

Angela was one of the original photographers of the Craigmillar Community Festival in the 1970s. Initially organised as part of a Job Creation Scheme, she entered the workforce as a photography trainee, kick-starting a career has spanned nearly five decades.

In 2022, Craigmillar Now commissioned Angela to revisit the Craigmillar and Niddrie Community Festival, documenting the events, the attendees, and the organisers over two days in August. A selection of photos from this recent commission will be presented alongside early works by Angela taken in Craigmillar and Niddrie in the 1970s.
