‘Stockholm - The Resilience Capital’ investigates the city of Stockholm in relation to resilience before developing a critical evaluation framework through existing literature to score it. I first delved into ‘What is resilience?’, breaking it down into ‘Social’ and ‘Physical’ indicators which contribute to the cities overal sustainability. This list of indicotrs were then split into catagories such as “infrastructure” and “society”. I then searched the most recent ‘City Plan’ and development guidance for the city, scoring the findings accordingly.
The final score was then mapped on a circular diagram. This research gave me an appreciation for what is possible with creative and critical city planning, and has given me the tools to objectively evaluate sustainability in a chosen city.
