KPI REPORT - Q3 2024/25 STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

Strategic Priority 1: Regional Advocacy

Position CCA as a regional partner – facilitating, collaborating, enabling and acting on behalf of Councils

Set regional priorities annually with Member Councils, through a priority setting process, with a focus on building a stronger region

Monitor, evaluate and review CCA’s Advocacy, Communication and Engagement Strategy

Identify and secure financial and policy support for regional priorities i e , NRM projects, regionally important projects, shared services and other initiatives undertaken by CCA on behalf of Councils

Foster strong partnerships with all stakeholders and use CCA's communications platforms to promote an integrated approach to Regional Development, NRM and Local Government

Strategic Priority 2: Strategic Alignment

Cross reference and align all CCA plans within a single business or organisational framework.

Develop a masterplan, an organisational framework, incorporating the key functions of CCA as described in the Letter of Expectation (LoE), NRM Strategic Plan and Regional Futures Plan.

Deliver government-funded projects.

Work with Member Councils to develop opportunities that will increase the shared services capabilities

CCA released the 2025 Federal Election Key Priority statement

Advocating for regional priorities during the federal election campaign

CCA Executive team has been meeting with Federal Candidates Work has commenced on multiple Q4 grant submissions

A successful social media campaign raised awareness for the Shared Coastal Pathway, which included a photography competition and community survey

The Regional Masterplan has evolved into the Roadmap to Regional Planning and Engagement A representative working Group is currently reviewing the CCA LoE

Key project governance, two project demonstrations established and delivered three community engagement events on Natural Capital

Regular events engaged the community in the Healthy Harbour project CCA staff attended the National Recovery Team meeting in February and have spent time this quarter negotiating new contracts with IMAS and DCCEEW for Phase 2 of the captive breeding program

A draft Conservation Land Management Agreement is close to being finalised in the Colliers Swamp priority area, which will protect and enhance 186 ha of priority habitat At priority sites for threatened birds, 18 feral cats were killed, and 14 ha of weed control was conducted

An additional Conservation Land Management Agreement was signed bringing the total length of waterways to be remediated to 14 8 km Remediation works have been completed across 0 4 km Conservation covenant establishment is being pursued with 2 landholders on priority river frontage for Giant Freshwater Crayfish

Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan has been publicly released

New project design completed and submitted, and DCCEEW agreement signed First field trip completed in March 2025 This is a continuation of previous projects

Season monitoring was completed, and over 60 surveys were undertaken

Funding for desexing programs is nearly exhausted in all councils, and the cat enclosure subsidy is progressing well, with 25 completed and 16 pending completion

Grant agreement signed this quarter, with initial “condition” activities completed The first Rice Grass treatment and CallTrackers activities were completed on time, but the negotiation with Devonport City Council about the GPT installation agreement is experiencing some delays

Providing advice and support to NRE in advance of stage 3 roll-out later this financial year

Attended multiple schools for engagement opportunities Participated in the West Coast Weeds Stakeholder meeting and facilitated the NRM Council Working Group meeting Provided letters of support to community groups for grant applications and Community Capacity Small Grants program on track
