Because in a bear market, we can all use some giggles
Cryptocurrency is no longer a passing fad. Blockchain is leading innovation for corporate level logistics at IBM to cancer research on a global scale. Fashion brands such as Gucci have entered the metaverse, and Christie's is curating historic digital art collections. There is a watershed of innovation. Funneling these details to business professionals for implementation, collaboration, or investment is currently a challenge.
CoinQueens is a network of business leaders, founders, and investors who have spent years learning and building in Web3. Together, we will curate a publication brimming with knowledge and opportunities tailored to likeminded individuals who can learn and implement alongside our team. Join us as we help you navigate the newest version of the internet: The incentive layer.
Our Web3 journey went from casual Friday meetings to being in a global incubator to product testing with established and up and coming brands.
Q: TELL US YOUR COINQUEENS ORIGIN STORY. HOW DID YOU GET HERE?
Investing in cryptocurrency may be a nerve wracking thought for many, but I had the good fortune to learn the ropes from a close friend who was a Bitcoin miner. From recreational investing, to the formation of an institutional crypto fund (CoinKings.fund), I was able to see the future powered by decentralized, digital ownership. The one thing I wasn't able to see was any female counterparts. I created CoinQueens and began hosting IRL events: Wine, Women & Wallets. The goal was to introduce blockchain and cryptocurrency to the professional women in my network. I wanted them at the forefront of innovating and investing in web3. CoinQueens has grown into a powerhouse of ambitious female leaders looking to own their financial future and bring the women in their life with them.
- HRD, Founder & CEOI first met CoinQueens (CQ) founder Heather through our shared involvement in web3 communities like Hug & BFF. I was struck by her focus on creating a more personalized and relevant onboarding experience to the crypto space. And her dedication to action and no hype made a strong impression on me.
When Heather announced the CoinQueens community, both Jen and I attended the intro event. And after learning more about the vision and the community of strong women in the group, it was a clear decision for us to join. It has been one of the best decisions we made as web3 builders and curious individuals looking to learn, create, and do more.
-Davida Gaffney, MintKitQ: How did you guys start working together/meet?
A: (DAVIDA) We met about 6 years ago at a startup workshop in Lincoln, Nebraska, and had been in casual contact as Jen leads online art classes that my child attended.
When NFTs came across my radar in late 2021, I was excited but overwhelmed and just wanted someone to talk to about it. Jen is someone who loves creating and trying new things plus has the art expertise that made me think of her as a good person to reach out to her.
Q: Was MintKit the first project you worked on?
A: (DAVIDA) Our first Web3 project was based on Jen's amazing IP the Pincurl Girls. The brand is really fun and uplifting, and all about encouraging bravery & action towards goals.
Q: How did you learn about Web3?
A: (JEN) Davida and I started meeting every Friday on Zoom. (I looked forward to those meetings so much!!!) We shared YouTube links and chatted generative art, OpenSea collections, figuring out how to open a wallet, convert currencies, gas & all the things...
BFF's intro video in January 2022 was a major turning point for us in seeing the potential in Web3 for brands and community building, it inspired us to think a little deeper about how we wanted to help to shape the next iteration of the internet.
So last year we pitched a web3 project to MetaAngels hoping to join their incubator program. We didn't get in, but working together sparked something, and we were determined to continue building.
As we imagined how to move forward, we saw some really fun PFP custom designs on Twitter. And because of my background in programming and automation, I started envisioning a tool that would do all the heavy lifting and help everyone design with their PFPs and create their own assets. And we ended up pivoting to create MintKit.
Q: What is MintKit?
A: (JEN) MintKit is a tool that allows NFT holders to ability to design phone wallpapers, Twitter banners, and other designs featuring their fav PFPs. It is an easy-to-use tool that does not require design expertise and is fun to play with.
Q: What are MintKit's benefits?
A: (DAVIDA) For artists, MintKit extends the life of their collections and they can reuse assets they already created. For collections and community managers, MintKit increases engagement, brand recognition and drives conversations with usergenerated content.

Jen Landis is an artist and creates calendars, throw blankets and more using her characters called Pincurl Girls. Her mission is to remind girls of their power and inner strength.
Jen has a 333 NFT collection to fundraise for the distribution of 1000 copies of her book, "Skip the Bad Songs, " to teenagers. The book aims to help teenagers improve their selfesteem and happiness.
Great question! Each NFT and project is unique. NFTs are a technology we can utilize for new and existing use cases. They are not just JPEGs. NFT's can be a digital flex (Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs were selling for $1M+), a digital collectible, IP rights to monetize, investments, memberships, subscriptions, tickets, loyalty rewards, perks or as the parameters for any contract. Many applications of this technology are still being built, tested, and utilized.
NIL (Name, Image and Likeness)As a former athlete, I am beyond excited for the ability to monetize NIL, especially the BIPOC community.
Artist Royalties Revenue from secondary sales would be a major win. Our artists don’t have to be starving!
Documents I'm still wondering where my mom put my original important documents. (Birth certificate, passports, titles, etc.). I see you California!
Advertising Owning our own data. Meta, Amazon, and others all have the power today. Regaining the
BY JANELLE PACHECO WINOWICHownership will allow us to monetize our digital identities.
Digital Decor I live in NYC, and I am attempting a more minimalist lifestyle (my amazon orders beg to differ). I love being able to give my husband sports-based NFTs for his virtual man cave.
Metaverse digital wearables I became a big fan of lounge wear
during the pandemic. I work in a hybrid environment. If I start conducting meetings in the metaverse I will be very interested in digital clothing.
Perks These could include discounts, exclusive drops, events IRL, and virtual events. I love the perks from projects I invest in because I care about their values and purpose.
Token-gating/Ticketing Veecon (a web3 conference held by Vee Friend Founder, Gary Vee) was my first token-gated event where an NFT served as my entry ticket. Sport and entertainment NFT ticketing is a massive opportunity in the future.
Multisignature wallets allow for ease of ownership of a valuable item by multiple individuals. Can't afford that Bored Ape but want to be a part of the culture? Fractional ownership allows that to happen.

Nothing else compares to the magic that happens when ambitious women gather in real life to discuss goals and needs for their business. Creating the Container was the brain child of Dayna DeStefano (Unblcd) and Juliette Blake (Miss O Cool Girls). The first event was hosted at NFT NYC '22. The success of the connections prompted them to continue the events as a series.
CoinQueens co-hosted Creating the Container at Moon in Wynwood at Art Basel alongside sponsor Vouch Insurance. The goal for series is to network with experienced and successful leaders, allowing women to gain insight into the skills, strategies, and behaviors that will help them achieve success.
This can be invaluable for women who are just starting out in their careers, as well as for those who are looking to take their careers to the next level. The brunch presented the opportunity to build a critical network of support. Whether through formal mentoring relationships or informal connections, this network of supportive women can provide a sense of belonging and help create a feeling of confidence and empowerment.

Held at the Doya in the art district of Wynwood, the ProofLoungewaslikeanoasis / reprieve from the bustle of Art Basel and the numerous events going on throughout thedayandevening.
The space was open from 128pm which was nice. When youenteredinsidethevenue, there was a Moonbirds “souvenir shop” with neoncolored, Miami branded swag like shot glasses, keychains, sunnies and patches. Further down, there were light blue denimjacketswithMoonbirds logo embroidered on the back; and, if that wasn’t enoughforsomefolks, there
was a station set up to get a custom spray painted jacket. There was a huge spread of food, a wide range of beverages and custom MB desserts.
We met many OGs as well as newer, Proof and Moonbirds members. Kevin Rose, Proof founder, and Justin Mezzell, Proof co-founder & Chief Product Officer, were also there chatting with holders along with former Proof COO, Ryan Carson, who is still a huge supporter of Proof & Moonbirds.
Overall, it was a great event and I'm looking forward to Proof of Conference in May!
ArtBlocksheldanafternoongardenpartyattheNewArtDealersAlliance in Miami on Dec. 3 to celebrate the Squiggle. The event was hosted by SquiggleDAO, the Venus Over Manhattan platform, and Art Blocks founderErickCalderon.
With a mix of palm trees that seemed almost as tall as the skyscrapers in the distance and the lush greenery, it was the perfect setting to raise a glass and pay homage to the iconic symbol. Of course, the event would not be complete without a machine where you could input your own Squiggle NFT number and it would draw it for you. In the case that you didn’t own one, there were a few they provided so non-holders could still get a somewhat 1 of 1 drawn squiggle. How cool is that?
Funniest moment? When I mentioned to Erick that he looked like he had gotten his hair cut since I last saw him in Marfa back in November. His response was that he said he had to - people thought he was starting to look homeless or like SBF. Suffice it to say, neither apply!
TheMompreneur, founder of MetaHers, recognized the strong desire from her community members to have a clear vision of success for the new year. The CoinQueens community came together to support the effort and hosted two Manifest & Mint Vision Board Sessions. The first session, attendees broke out into small groups of 3-4 to answer three questions. These questions formed the base of their vision board. Members were introduced to Canva's design tools to bring their vision boards to life.
The second session was dedicated to giving members the chance to share their vision boards and form stronger bonds with their fellow visionaries. It ended with a lesson on how to turn the Vision Boards into NFTs. CoinQueens founder, Heather Doyle, used web3 tools Unlock Protocol, Buneo and Pinata to create the digital collection. You can view the inspirational boards HERE.

Unlock Protocol allows you to take any of your business asset (tickets, memberships, subscriptions and more) and turn them into NFTs for free and in minutes. Their easy to use dashboard allows you to manage all aspects of your NFTs from renewal time to referral fees.
Siesta is a lifestyle brand born from former CMO of OffLimits Cereal, Michelle Lora. Her goal is to prioritize rest and relaxation even in the crazy world of web3.

Had you taken the plunge and invested $50 worth of these currencies with us, you would be up 30% over the last 60 days. BTC had the best performance up over 36%. Our CQ portfolio is valued at $194 after $150 start ~60 days ago. 60 day performance *Not financial advice*
While these cryptocurrencies are still in an adoption phase, BTC & ETH are the most valuable based on market cap. BTC has the most institutional adoption and Ethereum has the most active user base and number of transactions. MATIC is the native currency of the Polygon blockchain. Polygon is built on Ethereum as a scaling solution for faster transactions and cheaper fees.
You don’t need to be desperate to make an impression, like asking for people to like, RT, tag 10 friends, and commit 3ETH to earn a chance to buy your jpeg. The planets indicate you are more likely to grab the attention of important people if you stay calm and take what you are working on one step at a time. You’re a professional, not a prima donna. Create that utility, and then the community will come...if the exchanges don't overleverage all their assets.
The most important thing now is that you
You may want to do something out of the ordinary today, like invest the bulk of your time and energy in an NFT project you can believe in. You don’t care for awards and applause, you are driven to make the world a better place for everyone to live in...which may require spending 24 hours a day hosting Twitter Spaces, non-stop explaining the importance of not sharing your seed phrase or clicking links, eating day old ramen out of a box and creating utility for a useless jpeg.
answer your real work emails, but as mind planet Mercury is currently at odds with Saturn you would be wise to take it a step at a time. Make sure your enthusiasm is matched by common sense and caution. You wouldn't want to miss then next Art Gobblers drop or the resurrection of FTX via SBF's Substack letters and claims of solvency. Is it really?!?
