National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with a Bachelors pass:
• English Home Language or First Additional Language (4)
• Mathematics (4); or Mathematical Literacy (5)
• Life Sciences (4) or Physical Sciences (4)
The department utilises an Academic Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You therefore need to score a minimum of 30 on the APS for the Bachelor of Nursing.
Preference will be given to candidates with higher APS scores. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Additional Admission Requirements
As part of selection process, you will be invited for an interview. You will need to provide proof of your first completed Hepatitis B immunisation schedule that will continue, South African Nursing Council (SANC) related indemnity, and other forms.
Note: The selection process includes an interview that could be face-to-face, or other arrangements for applicants residing outside of Cape Town.
