WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum Admission Requirements
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with:
• English (4)
• Mathematics (2) or Mathematical Literacy (4)
Participation as a player, coach or administrator at international/ national/ provincial level will be a recommendation. Generally, students who have met the minimum requirements for admission to Bachelor’s degree stand a greater chance of being accepted.
The department utilises an Academic Point Score (APS) as selection criteria once your minimum admission requirements are satisfied. You also have to score a minimum of 25 with Mathematics and 27 with Mathematical Literacy on the APS for the mainstream qualification; and 23 with Mathematics and 25 with Mathematical Literacy for the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP).
Applicants are invited to complete the form entitled “Non-Academic Review Component for Sport Management” in order to inform the prospective student about the Sport Industry, and allow them to indicate their involvement in sport, as well as cultural and leadership activities.
