Call for abstracts
The Unisa Regional Services Research Community of Practice (CoP) invites all support staff and postgraduate students at higher education institutions to submit abstracts based on original scholarly research under the theme: Enhancing the research community of practice through online support: a strategy to promote developing researchers’ excellence in a CODeL environment.
Conference focus areas
Focus areas for submissions include, but are not limited to, the following themes:
• Library services
• Technology-enhanced learning
• Student orientation
• E-tutoring
• ODL and CODeL research
• Student support services
• Academic writing and literacies
• Postgraduate literacies
• Counselling services
• Disruptions to learning and opportunities created by artificial intelligence
Important dates
25 April 2025: Abstract submission opens
20 June 2025: Abstract submission closes 2–4 July 2025: Conference
The conference will be held online via MS Teams from 2 to 4 July 2025, running daily from 08:00 to 15:30.
Abstract submission guidelines
Each abstract must be written in English and submitted as a Word document. The prescribed length is 200 to 350 words The author/s’ title/s, name/s, qualification/s and college must be stated in the abstract. Submissions must be e-mailed to Mr Y Chagi: chagiy@unisa.ac.za.
There is no conference fee.
