Tips & Tricks What’s New in Marketing

What’s New in Displays • ALL Discover Summer displays will include a stack of each activity booklet. This should be well-stocked throughout each day, especially in the beginning of the event.

• Refreshed logo with new font and graphic elements • FOUR activity booklets (one in Spanish!)

• Check-in incentives

• Remaining booklets can be held at the point of service or off the floor.

• Fillable Discover Summer-themed templates

• The free book to keep should be kept at the point of service, NOT on the display.

• Yard signs and window clings

• New display signs have language instructing parents and children to “See a Staff Member” to pick up their free book to keep.

• Pay close attention to your Visual Positions for each month. Pride will be in V1 at the start of June, which means Discover Summer should be nearby in V2.

• VM install deck • Guidelines for prominent and consistent displays

• At launch, it is highly recommended branches create a secondary display in C1, leading the Children’s zone. This will ensure promotional coverage throughout the branch and allow for more merchandising opportunities.

Important Note This year, all displays should have a stack of each booklet. We recommend at least 10 each. Extras should remain off the display, either off the floor or behind the service point.

These will need to be replenished throughout the event, especially in the early days when participation may be highest.

Additional Display Examples Pro Tip Try using a book stand to face-out a few copies of each booklet. Store extra in a stack underneath. This can also be done on a table if things are looking too “flat”.

Look at different ways ofusing multiple sections of low shelving together Center the prize box on top, and section off one side for activity booklets and the other side for general related materials or themed materials.

Important Note

Depending on space, try to include more materials on the C1 display than the V2/V1 display. The prize box is only needed in the main display at the front of the branch, but please include the prize sign here once again. Feel free to add in Take and Makes but keep it clean and full. Remove and re-merchandise once depleted.
