Certes... As part of Certes’ move to accelerate its global growth, the partnership will involve Exclusive Networks continuing to build on its campaign of marketing, events and lead generation activity to support solution providers and resellers delivering Certes’ CryptoFlow Solutions, and providing insight into the benefits they will bring for enterprises. Certes’ CryptoFlow Solutions protect enterprise applications against today’s most prevalent data breach attacks. The solutions provide capabilities such as
application segmentation, rolebased access control, and secure connectivity that shrink the enterprise attack surface, reduce breach risk, and simplify the security architecture. CryptoFlow Solutions complement the model of the Exclusive Networks CARM (Cyber Attack Remediation & Mitigation) initiative seamlessly. CARM enables reseller partners to facilitate their enterprise customers in identifying, containing, responding, remediating and mitigating the impact of security breaches.
Bernie Dodwell, EMEA Business Development and Channel Director, Certes Networks, says, “The extension of this distribution partnership with Exclusive Networks Middle East is a reflection of the cross-continental direction of our channel strategy. The existing relationships with Exclusive Networks UK and France are already supporting this move, and now continuing this growth into another region mirrors the global demand for CryptoFlow solutions.” Hinde Liepmannsohn, Head of Marketing, Exclusive Networks
Middle East, adds, “Working with Certes Networks on an additional continent is a testament to the strength of its offering and shows how it can faultlessly be integrated into another market. We are looking forward to continuing to raise awareness of the cybersecurity issues currently facing the Middle East market and solving them to shrink the increasingly growing attack surface.” Certes Networks and Exclusive Networks Middle East are exhibiting at GITEX Technology Week 2016.

Belhasa International deploys Acronis Hybrid Cloud Backup solution
Steve Goh, Acronis
Acronis, a provider of hybrid cloud data protection has announced that Belhasa International has deployed Acronis Backup Advanced to tackle its significant backup and cloud storage requirements. The company’s integrated solution allows Belhasa to seamlessly backup its critical physical and virtual environments, and store this business-critical data in reliable and secure cloud storage.
Acronis Backup Advanced solution was chosen because it combined local backup and cloud services into a single, fully-integrated backup solution. The Acronis Backup to cloud solution provided support for both physical and virtual environments, for application-aware backup and recovery, and also included reliable cloud storage that could be trusted with Belhasa’s business-critical data. The Belhasa team worked with specialist company FixIT Computer Technologies (an Acronis Platinum Partner for the GCC) to plan and size the Acronis installation. Together, they aligned the core features that matched
Belhasa’s corporate IT strategy and goals for the next five years. “We are delighted to have Belhasa International as a valuable addition to our portfolio of highprofile customers in the region,” said Steve Goh, Vice President Sales, APAC-EMM, Acronis. “Acronis Backup Advanced has helped Belhasa meet its RPO for each business unit, it has reduced the company’s RTO by 50% from two to one hour, and offers greater control with a centralised management console to view backups centrally. These features have given the Belhasa IT team confidence, and an improved management experience, which is a testament to the capabilities of Acronis’ solutions.”
Acronis also worked directly with Belhasa, and offered guidance on its various products, so that a suitable solution that answered each of Belhasa’s requirements was deployed. Belhasa’s IT team then tested the solution over a period of six months to understand its flexibility and reliability, test its capabilities, and become comfortable with its interface. Testing revealed that the Acronis solution performed well in all backup and recovery aspects, including a two-hour Recovery Time Objective (RTO), which decreased by 50 percent. The solution was also found to offer greater command on recovery location and repository.
Huawei’s Shi proud of partnerships
David Shi, Huawei
Following a series of GITEX announcements with a range of public and private organisations
to deploy its technology services, Huawei’s David Shi is bullish about the company’s progress. The company’s vice president for solution sales and marketing in its regional Enterprise Business Group, Shi said that Huawei’s product launches would make network and IT management smoother for the region. “A typical campus network features a range of components as part of its infrastructure,” he said. “The challenge, however, is often to manage such wide network. Our newly launched
Cloud Campus solution allows components to be easily managed to correct issues and configure networks remotely.” The company is showcasing its “city” from its Za’abeel Hall stand, which encompasses a range of demonstrations for its solutions across smart transport, security and homes among others. At the centre of all these aspects is Huawei’s Intelligent Operations Centre, a solution which is designed to give visibility into a number of critical infrastructure aspects. “In order to
organise and the different data as well as its sources, a city needs a ‘brain,’” Shi said. “The IOC gives the means to monitor an entire city, providing better maintenance and security.” Shi also believes that the company’s enhanced GITEX presence is no coincidence given its progress over the last 12 months. “Our stand has doubled in size from last year’s show, and that growth is mirrored in the number of partnerships we’ve announced with a range of organisations,” he said.

On average, we are conducting
10-12 sessions in a day for each product line that we have,” he says. Post GITEX, Quraishi highlights that ixtel will continue to focus on developing new innovations that will further fuel their customers’ digital transformation. “At the same time, we also want to put emphasis on securing their digital environments. DarkMatter demos Cyber Resilience Platform DarkMatter, an international cybersecurity firm headquartered in the UAE, announces the introduction of its Cyber Resilience Platform, a first-of-its-kind city-wide dashboard that helps visualise the readiness of critical entities against cyber threats, said the company. The platform succinctly demonstrates the cascading effect of cyber breach on separate, yet interconnected critical entities in a smart city environment, allowing forStarLink_Strip the first time, aAds_AW.pdf
contextualisation of the impact of a cyber breach on entities individually as well as collectively. Faisal Al Bannai, CEO, DarkMatter said, “This platform represents DarkMatter’s ability to draw expertise from across the organisation and produce tools that assess and predict the level of cyber risk in order for entities to pro-actively act in defence of their digital assets within an interconnected environment. “Our Cyber Resilience 6 10/12/16 7:53 PMPlatform

analysing resilience is used to monitor the actual status of systems, so it becomes a tool that produces actionable intelligence rather than offering just theoretical scenarios. The pace of digital transformation, and the instrumented, intelligent, and interconnected nature of modern digital networks means a more interactive and all-inclusive approach to assessing cyber resilience is required, which is what the platform delivers.
