Gary A. Zwick

Partner, Walter Haverfield LLP Gary is a partner who has a general tax practice, with emphasis on tax planning for closely held and family businesses and their owners, and high-net-worth individuals. His focus encompasses not only income tax planning, but also estate planning, retirement plans and planning, business and individual taxation, Subchapters C & S, mergers and acquisitions, employee benefits and Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and tax court practice and controversy work. Gary also handles criminal tax matters working in conjunction with Ralph Cascarilla, Managing Partner of Walter | Haverfield and former Assistant U.S. Attorney. Before joining the firm in 1997, Gary, who is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), spent 21 years in public accounting, including serving for many years as Director of Tax Operations and Head of the Cleveland Office Tax Department for a large regional Bowman 100 CPA firm. Gary is a frequent speaker, both locally and nationally, on tax subjects, with hundreds of speaking engagements addressing tax professionals. He is board certified in federal tax by the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) and former Chair of the Federal Tax Specialty Board of the OSBA. He continues to serve on the Federal Tax Specialty Board of the OSBA. He was both an adjunct professor of Wealth Transfer Tax and Estate Planning at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and an adjunct professor of Tax Law and Wealth Transfer Tax at Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Jordan Goodman

Partner, Horwood Marcus & Berk Chartered Jordan M. Goodman co-chairs Horwood Marcus & Berk’s State and Local Tax Group and resolves state and local tax controversies including unclaimed property for multistate and multinational corporations, including Fortune 1000 clients with complex operations, in industries such as manufacturing, retailing, financial services, e-tailing, broadcasting and telecommunications. As both an attorney and a CPA, Jordan has a comprehensive view of tax planning issues and strategies. His experience and education enable him to deliver a creative, complete and practical approach to limiting the full range of tax exposures. He was recently elected as a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation only trial lawyers honorary society that includes less than one-half of one percent of American Lawyers.

Shawn Wolf

Partner, Bilzin Sumberg Sought out for his reputation as a cultivator of strong, long-term client relationships, Shawn counsels foreign and domestic high net worth individuals, families and closely-held companies wherever they need international and domestic tax, estate planning, and pre-immigration and expatriation planning and strategies. Many of his clients are multi-generational in nature, spanning decades of private wealth planning needs. His Florida Bar Board Certification in Tax Law represents one of the most distinguished markers of expertise among practitioners in the private wealth planning field. Among the areas of his practice for which he is most approached are matters involving the application of U.S. Federal income tax rules to U.S. taxpayers conducting business abroad or moving abroad, foreign nationals investing in or moving to the United States, and the utilization of foreign and domestic trusts in strategies related to such matters. For 25 years, Shawn has also assisted hundreds of clients in coming into compliance with U.S. tax filing requirements, particularly international clients with complex situations involving multiple jurisdictions, in addition to counseling them on the minimization of applicable penalties. Randy Johnston

CEO & Founder of Network Management Group, Inc. Randy has been a top-rated speaker in the technology industry for over 40 years. Inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame in 2011, Randy is listed as a Top 25 Thought Leader in Accounting from 2011-2020. His influence throughout the accounting profession is highlighted once again this year by being a recipient of the 2019 Accounting Today Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting award for the sixteenth consecutive year. Among his many other awards, he holds the honor of being one of nine technology stars in the U.S. by Accounting Technology Magazine. Randy writes a monthly column for The CPA Practice Advisor, features for the Journal of Accountancy, and creates articles for both accounting and technology publications, as well as being the author of numerous books. He has started and owns multiple businesses, including K2 Enterprises in Hammond, Louisiana, and Network Management Group, Inc. in Hutchinson, Kansas. NMGI has supported CPA firms for 30+ years and is the largest managed service provider serving the CPA profession in North America. His wife and four children enjoy many experiences together, including theatre, music, travel, golf, skiing, snorkeling, and model trains. His experience as a college instructor, management and technology consultant, and advisor to the profession will be evident to you in today’s presentation.
