A&A Sharing Library Improving through sharing is the mission of CPAmerica. There is no easier way to share your firm’s collective knowledge than by posting to the online sharing library. Post and search for documents related to practice management, disclosures, engagement tools, proposals, revenue recognition, report samples, etc.

AICPA Audit Quality Centers It is the goal of CPAmerica’s A&A Executive Committee that every eligible firm becomes a member of the AICPA’s Audit Quality Centers. Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center: To help CPAs meet the challenges of performing quality audits in this unique and complex area, the AICPA has established the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, a firm-based voluntary membership center for firms that audit employee benefit plans. Governmental Audit Quality Center: The Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC) promotes the importance of quality governmental audits and the value of such audits to purchasers of governmental audit services. GAQC is a voluntary membership center for CPA firms and state audit organizations that perform governmental audits.

A&A Committees and Online Communities You truly start to leverage the power of your peers when you utilize the online resources available through the A&A discussion list, and when you get involved in the A&A Executive or Advisory Committee. The discussion list is your lifeline to more than 500 members of the CPAmerica A&A community. The A&A committees participate in the educational planning for live and virtual events, monitor the discussion lists and make recommendations for any A&A related products or services offered by CPAmerica. Vice President Accounting and Auditing Content for SurgentCPE Rich Daisley has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting and auditing field. He has worked in both the client service setting as well as in internal capacities as a facilitator of accounting and auditing courses. He was previously an assurance manager with PwC, where he spent time in both the assurance practice and in PwC’s Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services group, advising clients on the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and issues related to public offerings. He also has experience in the manufacturing, health care, energy, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as more than a decade of experience in course development and facilitation.

Wayne Kerr

Principal Consultant with the Learning Group of Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting Wayne is a senior consultant at AuditWatch, part of the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters, where his duties include consulting, product development and content management. Wayne specializes in audit methodology/process consulting; helping firms improve the quality and efficiency of their audits. Before joining AuditWatch, Wayne worked for Grant Thornton; serving clients in a broad array of industries, including manufacturing, not-for-profit, banking, government, and others. He also had quality assurance duties and training responsibilities for his business unit.
