Degree Works is a web-based auditing tool that allows students and advisors to monitor progress toward completion of program requirements It combines Winthrop’s degree requirements and the coursework that has been completed with easy-to-read worksheets These worksheets will show how completed courses count toward degree requirements and show which courses and requirements still need to be completed.
• Provides a way for students and advisors to plan for future courses by determining which requirements are still needed to complete a degree program
• Shows individual course grades, overall GPA, major and minor GPA, transfer credit
• Provides a “What If” audit that allows students to see how a change of major or minor could impact degree progress
• Provides a “Look Ahead” audit to see how planned courses would meet requirements
• Provides a planner that allows students and advisors to map out courses by term
• Shows the progress toward the Cultural Events Requirement
• Provides a GPA calculator to determine what is needed to achieve a desired GPA

It is used to maintain users, courses, and enrollments. Each academic course at the institution has a corresponding Blackboard course. In addition to course delivery, Blackboard is used to run assessment reports, as a file-sharing repository, and for collaboration with internal and external constituents.

Quickstart Guide
Navigate provides a 360-degree view of the most actionable student data (academic, financial, and behavioral) to support holistic and strategic student care The Smart Student Profile includes:
• Personal information (photo, age, date of birth, pronouns, address, phone number, email)
• Key academic Indicators (numbers of Ds and Fs, withdrawn courses etc )
• Unofficial transcript, minors and class schedule
• GPA and credit trends by term
• Alerts and cases
• Assigned advisors, instructors and coordinators
You are also able to see academic standing, entry term, classification and if they are a transfer student, lives on campus etc.
Coordinate campus-wide student support through observational early alerts, case referrals, closed-loop reporting, and centralized interaction records like notes, documents, and scheduling.

Appointment Scheduling and Multi-Modal Student Communications: Engage with individuals and groups of students through email and text directly through the platform Provide faculty and staff with flexible appointment scheduling and tools to promote better planning and availability management
Advanced Search and Campaigns (only available to certain roles on campus): Identify segments of students based on a wide range of criteria including personal data, academic performance, and success indicators Use searches to generate campaigns, which allow you to improve advisor efficiency and promote proactive advising with targeted mass outreach to students, including responsive scheduling and tools to monitor campaign results
ADVANCED SEARCH AND CAMPAIGNS
Maxient provides a place to easily manage records for your student body’s conduct and well-being. By improving communication and collaboration across the institution, Maxient helps to identify students in need of assistance and coordinate the efforts of departments to provide follow-up
Used for filling out incident reports including conduct, sexual misconduct, care, academic misconduct, bias, and non-academic complaints.
