$10,000 Union Pacific Grant to GREAT

Board memebers of Gooding Restoration for Entertainment, Arts and Theatre were recently invited to Pocatello to recieve a $10,000 award to help fund a new roof for the Schubert Theatre. “The generosity of Union Pacific will make a substantial difference in reaching the goal of getting the Shubert’s roof in place before winter so restoration can begin on the inside,” said Charmy LeaVell. “Restoring the theatre can provide a more supportive environment for our youth and can be a springboard for a safer community enhancing the quality of our lives as well as bridging the gap between understanding, differences, culture and learning. Supporting the restoration of the theatre will provide Gooding and surrounding communities with the means to mentor our youth, serve our seniors and create a spirit of community.” Board President Charmy LeaVell, VP Terry Behunin, Secretary Shanna Koyle, Treasurer Jessica Juarez, Director Jeff Brekke, Director Lucy Chibanti, and Director Ruth Simerly, met with Nathan Anderson (Union

Pacific Director of Public Affairs), Ed Nicholson (UP Manager of Recruitment), and Carl Gibson (Union Pacific Operations) at a lunch presentation along with other award recipients - the Malad Welsh Foundation, United Way of Southeastern Idaho, Montpelier Oregon Trail Center, and Aid for Friends, Inc. “These organizations provide meaningful services that positively impact lives,” says Scott Moore, Union Pacific senior vice-president of Corporate Relations and Union Pacific Foundation president. “An integral part of Union Pacific’s success is the work we do to enhance quality of life in the communities where our employees live and work.” Union Pacific assists nonprofits in Arkansas,
