North Canyon Medical Center Announces New Jerome Clinic A White Horse for Charities NCMC fulfills decade-long legacy to expand into Jerome

Press Release

North Canyon Medical Center has announced the opening of a clinic in Jerome County. Scheduled to open this fall, the clinic will be in the Heritage Plaza at Crossroads Point Business Center (just north of Interstate 84, off of US Highway 93). The Heritage Plaza building duplicates the original Jerome Northside Inn that was built in 1909 and torn down in 1967. The Heritage Plaza has become available for development because of the recent purchase by A. Scott Jackson and Arlen B. Crouch. Scott Jackson commented, “We are excited to have the North Canyon Jerome Clinic locating in this beautiful replica of the Northside Inn and bring more medical services to the Jerome area.” North Canyon’s CEO, J’Dee Adams, is looking forward to the expansion into Jerome. “We are committed to adding additional locations, throughout the Magic Valley, to better serve our patients. Over the years, we have had a growing number of patients traveling to our main campus in Gooding, from across the Magic Valley, for healthcare services. Watching this growth, we began plans to bring our high-quality services closer to them. Last year we opened a family medicine clinic in Buhl, an orthopedic clinic in Twin Falls, and this fall we will open our clinic in Jerome. Our personalized approach to care has shaped our vision for the future and we want to be your first choice for healthcare,” he stated. North Canyon Jerome Clinic will be home to a variety of health care services including: • North Canyon Pediatrics - Dr. Ryan Turner joins the North Canyon family. • Urgent Care • Orthopedics • Radiology - x-ray • General Surgery • Laboratory - On-site lab draws and point of care testing • Urology -- -- - The Northside Inn (left) held its grand opening on July 1,1909. It included a basement and three stories. Located in downtown Jerome on the corner of Lincoln Ave and Main Street (across from the current Wells Fargo Bank) it was home for teachers, businessmen, as well as travelers.

It is no secret, the COVID-19 pandemic has devastated businesses across the country but the fallout for small charities has been incalculable. Camp Rainbow Gold, an Idaho nonprofit serving children battling cancer and their families, was hit hard. The rapidly spreading virus stopped the organization’s primary fundraiser “Share Your Heart Ball” with just 48 hours’ notice. As many other fundraisers and grants cancelled, Camp Rainbow Gold needed to get creative. Enter Keanu Reeves on a white horse, a handful of other celebrities, and many generous businesses and vendors. “We quickly realized we wouldn’t be the only ones moving our fundraiser to an online auction,” said Camp Rainbow Gold Executive Director, Elizabeth Lizberg. “We also realized after months at home, people are craving connections and experiences that are safe but fulfilling. ”Keanu Reeves, who typically keeps a low profile but has a sister who has battled Leukemia, is offering a 15-minute, private Zoom call for auction. He will share a glass of wine, tell stories, answer questions or even teach a few karate moves. Recording artist and former Fifth Harmony member, Ally Brooke is also donating a 15-minute private, mini-concert via Zoom. Hollywood treasure and voice animator, Rob Paulsen is donating a 1-hour, personal experience where he will give the auction winner pointers on how he brings characters to life from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brainto Jimmy Neutron. He will include signed swag and a recorded voicemail message as part of the package. Laughs are guaranteed. And then there’s a top Hollywood film and TV producer who is offering up a 30-minute session with his team. This “Hollywood Moon Shot” experience will allow the lucky winner to pitch an idea, a script or get golden advice from some of the most seasoned pros in the biz. For those who prefer something closer to home, the auction has everything from Treefort, Steelheads and Shakespeare tickets to restaurant gift cards or a new barbecue grill. There are vacations, staycations, bottles of wine, and spa packages — something for everyone and all of it providing for Camp Rainbow Gold programs. The on-line auction opened on Monday, June 15th, and will closes Monday, June 22nd, at noon. Visit www.camprainbowgold.org/auction to view all the auction lots.
