News A Tale of Two Restaurants

Over the last couple of weeks, two new restaurants have opened up in our area. The first week was a little rough as their building resisted the change over, but Sissy’s Place in Wendell is now up and running at the old Pit Stop building (397 S. Idaho). Sissy’s Place is a Family Style restaurant serving breakfast all day long, along with your favorite lunch items. Apparently, the Jalapeño Bacon Burger is to die for. They are open Tuesday thru Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Mondays.

The Staff at Sissy’s serving Great Family Food

A few miles north, another restaurant has opened up with some familiar faces at the old Rowdy’s in Gooding (227 Main Street). Carrie and her Carrie Stiffdaughter Aysia ler has worked in this building for 18 years as a cook, a waitress, and everything else. Now she is running it as her own business - the Chill n’Grill. Open Wednesday thru Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Chill n’Grill serves lunch and dinner with burgers, steaks, sea food, and more. And don’t be afraid to bring your children - it’s a family friendly restaurant with good food for everyone.
