Eames. “It is our goal to partner with teachers and parents to encourage students to do their very best in school.” Pays for A’s is open to all Utah and Idaho students ages 12 to 18. Students can participate by bringing their most current term-end report card into any Zions Bank location. Students do not need a Zions Bank account to participate. They’ll receive $1 per “A” deposited into their savings account, or 50 cents per “A” if they opt for cash. For each “A” on their report cards, students are entered into a drawing to win one of 150 regional scholarship prizes each worth $100 and one grand prize worth $1,000 in each state. Memorial Day in the Forest
The Sawtooth National Forest would like to encourage everyone to get out this Memorial Day holiday weekend and enjoy your National Forest. People planning on recreating on the Sawtooth National Forest over the Memorial Day holiday weekend will find a number of facilities open and operating; however, due to the lingering snowpack at the higher elevations a number of roads and trails will be closed. Visitors should avoid driving or riding on muddy roads and trails to avoid damaging the running surface. The Forest has had an above average snowpack and flooding is occurring in most areas of the Forest. Do not drive past a road closure sign, these signs are in place due to a road, bridge or culvert washout. Conditions are changing daily so we encourage you to check with your local Forest Service office for current road and trail conditions. Many campsites are first come-first serve, but other campsites can be reserved in advance. These sites can be reserved at www.Recreation.gov or by phone at 1-877-444-6777. Visitors to the Sawtooth National Forest are encouraged to bring their own drinking water and be prepared to haul their trash back home. Even though many of the developed campgrounds will be open; there may be sites that do not have full service. Be advised, there are Road Closures in effect on the Sawtooth National Recreation Area and the Fairfield Ranger District. For those Closures you can go to fs.usda.gov/Sawtooth. For current conditions, call 208727-5000 (SNRA) or 208-764-3202 (Fairfield Ranger District).
