News Camas Lilies are in Bloom

Camas Lily (Camassia quamash) In June of 1806, Captain Meriwether Lewis described a plant found on the Quamash flats at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. During the Corps of Discovery Expedition Lewis and Clark came across many plants they had never seen before, but something about the vast fields of purple flowers intrigued Lewis so much that he spent more time writing about this plant than any other in his collection. From now through the end of May, take a trip to the Camas Prairie and the Centennial Marsh, and discover this amazing plant for yourself.
