Tree Sale & Well Study In Camas County The Camas SCD is currently conducting their annual tree sale. If you haven’t ordered your trees yet, there’s still time to do so. Orders must be received by April 12th. Order forms are available in the outside box at the office or by requesting one online. Also, do you know the status of your domestic well? Do you know how much your well changes over the summer and how things such as snow pack, rainfall (or the lack thereof), irrigation affect the performance of your well? Perhaps the SCD Well Depth Study can help you answer these questions and manage your water more efficiently. Office hours for the Fairfield office are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. Office is located at 403 Soldier Road, Strickland Realty Building (south Entrance). E-mail is: camasscd@yahoo.com

Story Tellers, Poets & Musicians Next weekend, March 22nd & 23rd, the 7th Annual Cowboy Musician’s and Poet’s Gatherin will take place in Hagerman at the Old High School Gymnasium. It gets bigger every year and features some of the best cowboy poets in the world, as well as incredible musicians. During the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can enjoy the day shows free of charge. The evening shows begin with a pre-show at 6:30 p.m. and the main event kicks-off at 7:00 p.m. The suggested donation for admission to the evening show is $12, but it goes to support two great organizations: the American Legion’s Boys & Girls State, and Idaho ‘N’ Heroes Outdoors Inc. Boy’s & Girl’s State is a week long event for High School students to have hands-on experience learning the functions of local, state, and federal government. Idaho ‘N’ Heroes Outdoors is a volunteer organization that helps our disabled veterans enjoy outdoor activities in Idaho like hunting, fishing, and just being able to see the amazing Idaho landscape. You can come down to the Hagerman Valley for an evening, a day, or the whole weekend. If you come on Saturday morning, be sure to grab something to eat at the Community Breakfast the Hagerman Senior Center from 7 to 10 a.m. It all you can eat for $5.
