2nd Annual KISH High School Hockey Tournament Underway On Monday, April 4 Donald Mulligan, Principal of Kensington Intermediate Senior High Welcomed everyone to the 2nd Annual KISH High School Hockey Tournament at the Community Gardens Complex in Kensington. Mulligan went on to say how pleased they were to have Scotiabank Kensington as their main sponsor, without whose support they would not be able to continue with

this tournament. He also acknowledged and thanked the High School Hockey committee made up of staff from KISH who have been planning the tournament for months and, to the staff who will be putting in a great deal of hours volunteering throughout the week. Thanks was also extended to the County Line Courier Community Newspaper for putting together

a great program for the tournament, Mike Smith for taking photos and to Elizabeth Burt for singing the national anthem. Mulligan welcomed Cindy Doucette from Scotiabank Kensington who brought greeting on behalf of Scotiabank and to Deputy Mayor Rodney Mann from the Town of Kensington who, along with the two team captains, dropped the puck for the ceremonial opening face-off.

Area Army Cadet Takes Home Gold in ZONES Marksmanship Competition

“The 1231 Army Cadets recently participated in the “Zones” marksmanship competition March 19th. MWO Carter Moase took home a gold in the open category with his score of 362 out of a possible 400 points, including a 99/100 target. Moase has been an active marksman at the local level for years and through his hard work, he got the chance to represent Canada in England at an international competition last summer, where he also earned a gold medal.
