‘Silicone Soul’ in queue for Doc Night When having a relationship with a real human being is too hard, where do you turn? The Marine Film Society and the Marine Community Library have announced the second film of this season’s Marine Documentary Film Nights, “Silicone Soul.” Directed by Minnesota filmmaker Melody Gilbert, the documentary explores the emotional connection some people have to their synthetic companions and what that means for the future of human relationships. The City of Marine held a public hearing Saturday for the proposed purchase of the elementary school property from the Stillwater school district. Another hearing is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 17, and the council could make a decision following that hearing.
