AUGUST 17
CELEBRATE NATIONAL NONPROFIT DAY Charitable nonprofits embody the best of America, according to the National Council of Nonprofits. Nonprofits provide a way for people to work together for the common good, transforming shared beliefs and hopes into action and nonprofits give shape to our boldest dreams, highest ideals, and noblest causes, the Council states at its website. In this special presentation, The Chronicle and our advertising partners recognize and pay tribute to our area nonprofits, their staff and volunteers who help those in need. It can be a difficult and challenging journey, but the nonprofits work to
find the path leading to solutions. According to the National Council of Nonprofits, America’s 1.3 million charitable nonprofits feed, heal, shelter, educate, inspire, enlighten, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status, from coast to coast, border to border, and beyond. They foster civic engagement and leadership, drive economic growth, and strengthen the fabric of our communities. Every single day. We encourage our readers to seek out and offer consistent support, financially or as a volunteer, to the local nonprofits of their choice.
