Cannon Beach Bakery wins Oregon ‘Sweetest’ recognition T
he Cannon Beach Bakery announced Oct. 18 that is has been named the Sweetest Full Line Bakery in Oregon by Dawn Foods in its annual Sweetest Bakery in America Contest. The bakery competed against over 1,000 other bakeries across the United States. Owned by Gib and Deanna Hammond, the bakery has been a part of the Cannon Beach community since 1936 and is the home of Original Haystack Bread, Almond Bear Claws

Dawn Foods said it received more than 1.4 million votes via text and online. From 1-3 p.m. Nov. 9, Cannon Beach Bakery will hold a celebratory event at the store to honor its achievement and thank the community for its support.
