MOSER READY FOR FIRST YEAR AS HETTINGER PRINCIPAL By Cole Benz

Hettinger opens the new school year with a new face in the administrative offices, Ryan Moser. Moser will start this year as the new Principal at Hettinger School. He was offered the contract before the school year was finished last spring, and a few days later accepted the position. Hettinger Pub-

Moser took a job in Scranton following his stay in Bowman, a position he would keep for the next nine years before switching career gears all together. While taking a break from education, Moser worked in the oil fields before coming back into the schooling environment last year. Moser was employed at

South Heart School during the 2014-2015 school year as a science teacher. When he first went into the education field he never intended on moving into the administrative side because he enjoyed teaching, but the Hettinger position seemed to be the right fit at the right time. “The opportunity came up and it seemed like a good fit, so I thought this was a perfect opportunity,” Moser said. When asked what about

the position encouraged him to apply, he said it was his familiarity with the area, some people on staff and some of the students. “I am very familiar with the area, I know some of the kids and some of the staff and it just seemed like a good fit,” Moser said.
