Adams County and the surrounding area were once littered with herds of buffalo, and one local group is hoping to honor the large animal and the last great hunts that has become synonymous with this part of the region. Reeder business expanding By COLE BENZ
Record Editor It’s expansion time for Dalton Mellmer and his business, Northern Auto and Diesel. The Reeder-based mechanic is currently constructing a new addition to the east side of his already existing building, and Mellmer said it’s the right time
to grow. “I’m just adding on,” Mellmer said. “I needed something bigger.” Mellmer completed his education at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton in January 2015 and began to rebuild a business his father previously ran for 30 years. And after more than a year and a half heading operations, he said that
he hopes to get more efficient at his processes. The new addition will be a 42-foot by 112-foot structure with two access points. One 16foot door will open to the south, with another 24-foot wide and 18-foot tall on another side with an approach. It will have 21-foot sidewalls. With the dimensions
