Relationships are an integral part of life. It’s quite easy to get into a romantic relationship. However, it takes a considerable amount of time and effort to nurture the relationship.
Ups and downs in a romantic relationship are inevitable. There are times when you don’t get along with your partner or have conflicting opinions. It is the time where the Couple therapy comes into play.
What is a couple therapy?
Couple therapy is psychotherapy where a clinical psychologist/therapist helps couples gain an insight into the relationship, resolve conflicts and improve relationship satisfaction through therapeutic interventions.
How does it work?
Relationship therapy starts with a questionnaire session between the therapist and the couple. In this session, she would ask basic questions about the history of the relationship. She would also probe into each partner’s family origin, values, and cultural background. During initial sessions, she gets to know the rootcause of the problem.
