News, views and inspiration from the Anne Furbank Group Spring 2014
The joys of Spring have sprung – buds are bursting through the ground, the promise of colour in our garden is greatly anticipated, longer days and lighter evenings lift the soul and we ourselves, come out of hibernation. There is always an air of optimism as soon as we head into January – we may still be in the throws of winter but there is light at the end of the tunnel and we are delighted whenever there is a glimpse of sunshine and warmth in the air. I’m also delighted that the fashion designers have continued with the love of colour: bright corals and turquoise give the collections a tropical feeling and the softness of denim blues is a great transition from winter to summer. We’ve also found some great new collections for you, which are introduced later in the magazine. They come from one of the homes of fashion, Italy, and the lesser known fashion destination of Croatia! We have a new General Manager in The George – introductions later – and Head Chef, Jose Graziosi continues to delight us all with his amazing food. There have been some great trips to suppliers, giving some quite extraordinary insight into food specialities. I hope you enjoy catching up on our news and we look forward to seeing you soon.
