Reiki Certificate - Level 1 Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The practice works with the concept of “life force energy” flowing through us which serves to fuel one’s energy and sense of aliveness. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. This ancient Japanese healing art has been proven through clinical studies to lower pain levels, reduce stress and improve feelings of well-being for a broad range of physical ailments including fibromyalgia, arthritis, cancer treatments and many other chronic conditions. You can do this for yourself and others. The client remains clothed and the practitioner works above the body or with hands on the body. Class participants will learn the history and principles of Usui Reiki, work with managing energy in their own bodies, and practice both traditional and intuitive hand positions. Workbook and Level 1 Certificate included. Friday to Sunday | October 4, 5 and 6 | Friday 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm Saturday and Sunday | 10:00 am - 5:30 pm | B. Holden | $199 + GST | GIHE-634

Reiki Certificate - Level 2 Reiki 2 participants will further open their energy channels. Deepen your abilities to manage energy for yourself and develop a more intuitive approach to working with clients. Learn techniques that send healing remotely over distance, as well as mental and emotional healing. On attaining this level of Reiki, the channel is able to facilitate absent/distance healing (the person receiving the healing is not physically present). The Reiki symbols learned at this level allow communication with the higher self. The energy flow is increased about four times. Participants at this level of Reiki must embrace the absence of the ego, the presence of humility, the commitment to serve another human being and the love and respect for life. Prerequisite: Reiki Certificate - Level 1 or an equivalency if completed Level 1 with a different Reiki Master. Friday to Sunday | January 24, 25 and 26 | Friday 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm Saturday and Sunday | 10:00 am - 5:30 pm | B. Holden | $249 + GST | GIHE-640
