COTEXBO PRESENTATION
El Conglomerado Textil Boliviano es una asociación que agrupa a empresas bolivianas de la cadena textil, de las áreas primaria, hilandería, tejeduría, proveedores, confecciones (punto y plano), artesanía, servicios, joyería, cuero.
COTEXBO fue creado el año 2007 en la ciudad de la Paz a causa del primer encuentro de Integracióndelsectortextil“Tejiendoelfuturo de Bolivia”, donde hubo mas de 600 participantes entre ellos microempresarios confeccionistas, proveedores de materia prima, etc. Donde los empresarios de la ciudad de la Paz y El Alto se organizaron y formaron el conglomerado textil boliviano.
El objetivo de COTEXBO es fortalecer las capacidades, promover la formación y capacitación continua del sector, viabilizar las oportunidades para la apertura de mercados.
La misión es de consolidarse como un órgano representativo de las MIPYMES del sector textil, mediante la prestación de servicios que promuevan el posicionamiento de manufactura textil boliviana.
Por otro lado, la visión de COTEXBO es de apoyar al incremento de las competitividades de MIPYMES del sector textil.

The Bolivian Textile Conglomerate is an association that brings together Bolivian companies from the textile chain, from the primary areas, spinning, weaving, suppliers, clothing (knit and flat), crafts, services, jewelry, leather.
COTEXBO was created in 2007 in the city of La Paz because of the first integration meeting of the textile sector "Weaving the future of Bolivia", where there were more than 600 participants, including garment microentrepreneurs, raw material suppliers, etc. Where the businessmen of the city of La Paz and El Alto organized themselves and formed the Bolivian textile conglomerate.
The objective of COTEXBO is to strengthen capacities, promote continuous education and training in the sector, and make viable opportunities for opening markets.
The mission is to consolidate itself as a representative body of MSMEs in the textile sector, through the provision of services that promote the positioning of Bolivian textile manufacturing.
On the other hand, COTEXBO's vision is to support the increase in the competitiveness of MSMEs in the textile sector.

GUITEXBO PRESENTATION
La presente guía textil boliviana en su primera edición es el medio de consulta más completo que reúne toda la información del sector a nivel nacional dividiendo por las áreas correspondientes al rubro que son: materia prima, hilandería, tejeduría, confecciones, artesanía, proveedores, embellecimiento y servicios.
La guía textil boliviana agrupa a más de 300 participantes, las mismas se conforman por grandes, medianas y pequeñas empresas, que dan a conocer los productos que producen, confeccionan y/o importan, además de los servicios para la mejora del sector textil.
El principal objetivo de la GUIATEXBO es de promocionar a la oferta más completa de los diferentes eslabones a nivel internacional.
Además de organizar, cuantificar una base promedio de las empresas más representativas del sector textil en Bolivia y generar alianzas estratégicas entre empresas para llegar a un fin en común.
Los beneficios que ofrece la presente guía textil boliviana es de posición de marca e imagen, difusión de los productos, alcance a segmentos internacionales y nuevos canales de comercialización.

PRODUCCCIÓN TEXTILES
I. Introducción
La industria textil en Bolivia, a través de los años se ha visto afectada por el contrabando. Esto a falta de políticas y control que regularicen el incremento de importaciones en el país con respecto a este sector. La competencia desleal sin duda ha sido un detonante que ha generado mucha incertidumbre en el sector textil, aun así, no se puede negar el potencial que productores textiles tienen. Es por ello que estos buscan hacer frente a estas situaciones adversas que los afectan.
II. Representación del sector textil en el PIB de Bolivia
En el cuadro N°1 se tiene las comparaciones entre los años 2020 y 2021 con respecto al PIB y la industria manufacturera, del cual se deriva el sector de textiles, prendas de vestir y productos de cuero.
Se observa una comparación entre al año 2020 y 2021, en donde el sector textil, prendas de vestir y productos de cuero, los cuales son parte de las industrias manufactureras, tuvo un crecimiento del 3,48%. En el 2020 se tiene una participación del 1,09% y el 2022 una participación del 1,06% del total de participación de las industrias manufactureras que es del 16,83% y 16,48% respectivamente

TEXTILE PRODUCTION I. Introduction
The textile industry in Bolivia, through the years, has been affected by smuggling. This in the absence of policies and control that regularize the increase in imports in the country with respect to this sector. Unfair competition has undoubtedly been a trigger that has generated a lot of uncertainty in the textile sector, even so, the potential that textile producers have cannot be denied. That is why they seek to deal with these adverse situations that affect them.
II. Representation of the textile sector in Bolivia's GDP
Table N°1 shows the comparisons between the years 2020 and 2021 with respect to GDP and the manufacturing industry, from which the textile, clothing and leather products sector is derived.
A comparison between 2020 and 2021 is observed, where the textile, clothing and leather products sector, which are part of the manufacturing industries, had a growth of 3.48%. In 2020 there is a participation of 1.09% and in 2022 a participation of 1.06% of the total participation of the manufacturing industries, which is 16.83% and 16.48% respectively.

La gráfica anterior muestra claramente un déficit comercial desde el año 2011, acumulando así 330 millones de dólares según informa el Instituto Boliviano de Comercio Exterior.

Al primer semestre del 2021, las exportaciones de confecciones textiles aumentaron un 84% en valor y 122% en volumen respecto a igual período de la gestión pasada. Los principales mercados de destino para la venta de estos productos al mes de junio del 2021, fueron Chile, Estados Unidos y Paraguay, de un total de 26 países. (IBCE, 2021)
