Lexington Middle School to be home of the Gators
With the announcement of their official mascot, Lexington Middle School has reached a milestone in their progress toward an August 2025 opening.
As the Lexington school building nears completion, fourth and fifth grade students at Creekside Elementary School shared their expertise by voting to select their neighboring school’s mascot. Would it be the Gators or the Pelicans?
Following an opportunity to cast ballots from Feb. 25 through March 7, the clear choice was the Gators, with school colors green and orange.
The new school building is scheduled to welcome students for the 2025-2026 school year.
