CCISD votes!

Election Day is on Nov. 5. Be sure to cast your ballot! With several CCISD schools serving as polling locations, voting is easier than ever. Visit the Nueces County website to learn about other vote centers and choose the one that works best for you. Registered voters may cast their ballot at any vote center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

enrollment

The open enrollment period is from October 14 to 4:30 p.m. November 7. Insurance coverages will be effective on January 1, 2025. Every employee must log in to the enrollment system to review the acknowledgements, then elect or waive insurance benefits. At the login page, use your CCISD network username and password.

The Office of Employee Benefits encourages employees to take this time to review your 2024 benefits and review the 2025 options. The Office of Employee Benefits will be hosting two insurance informational meetings on Saturday, October 26. Please bring your 2025 Employee Benefits Guide with you to the meeting.

Since 2008, CCISD’s school bond program has enabled the district to build nearly 20 new school buildings and significantly renovate many others. This year, Corpus Christi ISD’s trustees approved placing a $135.4 million bond proposal on the Nov. 5 ballot. Learn more about past bond projects on the district’s website.

Navigators chart new course with renovated library

The Garcia Elementary School Navigators are ready to embark on a journey of reading in their new library! The library renovation was made possible thanks to the Education Service Center, Region 2 and the LEARN IT grant funding. The library was named after former school principal Norma De Leon.
