District drafts new talent at Draft Day 2025 job fair

Big thanks to everyone who came out to the Draft Day 2025 Job Fair at Carroll High School! Campuses showed off their campus pride with colorful booths, mascots and school spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped organize the job fair. We can’t wait to welcome the new members of #TeamCCISD!

Windows 11 upgrade

Technology Services Staff will coordinate with department leads and Principals to identify the date(s) in which your site will be updated. Updates will take place between March 2025 through July 2025. During this time, each site/ department will be provided an inventory of computers that indicates whether they can be updated to Windows 11. All staff should ensure that they have backed up their data prior to the update, including files and browser bookmarks. For more information on how to backup data visit this Knowledge Base article. Staff can also enter a help desk ticket for additional support.

District leaders recently announced Above the Line employee of the month winners. Four honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they were selected.

Teresa Hale-Zuniga, Teacher, Hamlin Middle School

Teresa models our Leadership Definition by empowering minds. Ms. Hale is committed to growing her students both socially and academically, creating a well-rounded learning experience.

She sets high expectations while modeling and supporting the behaviors that empower students to take ownership of their learning. As a classroom facilitator, she encourages critical thinking and fosters independence.

Laurie Gomez, Math Specialist, Administration Building

Laurie models our Leadership Definition by shaping the future. Laurie empowers students and teachers by leading with purpose, passion and commitment to excellence.

By developing sustainable systems and following a continuous improvement model, she ensures that effective practices are refined, and results are achieved.

Imelda Cabello, Cafeteria Helper, Mireles Elementary

Imelda models our Leadership Definition by shaping the future. Imelda is always expanding her knowledge in the kitchen and leads by example through her willingness to learn and grow.

She consistently shares methods with her teammates, creating a more efficient and collaborative environment. Her leadership shines as she both teaches and learns from those around her, fostering a strong team dynamic.

Sherrie Linsteadt, Substitute, Veterans Memorial High School

Sherrie models our Leadership Definition by developing hearts. She builds a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow both academically and emotionally.

Her focus on nurturing relationships reflects her deep commitment to shaping kind, confident, and respectful individuals. Through her heartfelt leadership, Sherrie leaves a lasting imprint on every student she teaches.
