Windows 11 upgrade
Technology Services Staff will coordinate with department leads and Principals to identify the date(s) in which your site will be updated. Updates will take place between March 2025 through July 2025. During this time, each site/ department will be provided an inventory of computers that indicates whether they can be updated to Windows 11. All staff should ensure that they have backed up their data prior to the update, including files and browser bookmarks. For more information on how to backup data visit this Knowledge Base article. Mayor honors Kaffie Middle School educator as Teacher of the Month
During a recent Corpus Christi City Council Meeting, the Mayor and City Council Members honored Kaffie Middle School teacher Leon Avelar as Teacher of the Month.
Mr. Avelar teaches history and has worked for the district for 18 years.
“My aspirations for the future of our students is for all students to have a solid foundation in government, economics, and history so they have an understanding of how the world works and how they can play an active role in shaping it, Mr. Avelar said. “The idea of community involvement is also key, as it instills a sense of responsibility and encourages them to think beyond themselves.”
