New library is a great place for reading adventures
The newly renovated Blanche Moore Elementary School library is a perfect place for the young eagles to spread their wings through reading.
Thank you to everyone who made the library reveal an exciting celebration. Special thanks to Education Service Center, Region 2 for hosting the library reveal. The renovation was made possible through the LEARN IT Grant funding awarded to ESC, Region 2.

Submit nominations for 2025 Community Volunteer of the Year
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Community Volunteer of the Year Award. Your nomination should be a member of the local community who is over the age of 18 who has made an impact/difference to support CCISD students, campuses, departments and/ or the district during the 2024-2025 school year. CCISD employees are not eligible for this award. The nomination must be a community member. The recipient of this award will be invited to the CCISD Partners in Education Luncheon on Thursday, March 27, in the Mary Carroll High School arena. The deadline to submit is Wednesday, February 12 at 4:30 p.m.

You may access the form via connect.ccisd.us, using the same process you follow to retrieve your employee pay stub.
How to access the forms:

• Click on: Staff Login
• Log in using your CCISD credentials
• Click on: Employee Information
• Click on: Employee Timesheets and Pay
• Select option: Pay Stubs (Employee Online)
• Click on: Menu
• Click on: Payroll Information
• Under “Tax Forms” column, click on “W-2”
In this section you will find your current W-2 along with those from previous years. If you requested the district to mail you a paper copy, they will be mailed via the US Postal Service to the address on file by January 31, 2025. District names King High School athletic coordinator
Austin Menner has been selected to lead Richard King High School’s athletics program.
A former college football player at both the Air Force Academy and Abilene Christian University, Menner comes from a family of coaches and led the highest-scoring offense in Texas 5A football over the past two seasons.
Menner currently serves as co-offensive coordinator and assistant track coach at Roy Miller High School. Menner also served as co-offensive coordinator at South Garland High School.
He earned a Master of Science in sports administration – educational leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas.
“The committee appreciated Mr. Menner’s coaching experience and strong educational background,” Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez said. “We are excited to welcome Coach Menner to the Mustang family and look forward to his leadership during this exciting time.”

The Corpus Christi Education Foundation is pleased to offer two scholarship opportunities designed to help our educators pursue their academic and professional goals.
Dr. D. Scott Elliff Scholarship Award 2025
Are you a CCISD staff member seeking to complete your college degree or teaching certification? The Dr. D. Scott Elliff Scholarship Award provides financial assistance to support your educational goals.
•Award Amount: $500
Eligibility Requirements
• Employed with CCISD for at least three years
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Or hold a degree from an accredited college or university and seeking State Teaching Certification

Teacher Fellowship Award 2025
Professional Development Opportunity for Pre-AP and AP Educators
Are you looking to enhance your skills in Pre-AP or AP instruction? The CCISD Teacher Fellowship Award provides funding for professional development training.
• Covers registration and partial travel expenses for College Board approved professional development courses
• Award Value: Up to approximately $1,500 (varies based on requests)
Eligibility Requirements
Minimum of five years teaching experience
Teaching in CCISD for at least three years, Currently teaching a secondary Pre-AP or AP course.
