I think there where some good deals, and some no brainer deal like the Luminary. I didnt pull the trigger on anything though, first time in many years. The CF Auto is a smokin watch and the Scuba reserve is amazingly well done and what a bargain just to damn small for my liking! B Congrats to all that scored and got the CF or the Scuba outstanding watches! __________________ Hmmmmmmm. I can't say what I want to say! tough crowd here at wg. i don't know many other watch companies that can come out with as many watches as invicta does on a regular basis and can do about 25hrs of shows in a week, yes i know repeats on watches, but hey...i see what most watch companies do at retail. And there were some great prices on watches that could enhance anyone's collection. CPast years were much better in terms of the selections and values, and also just in terms of the overall production and energy level. This just seemed like a long drawn out regular watch show with a couple of highlights. __________________

Will wait for the Scuba price to come down, I think the on air "numbered limited edition" snafu may have made a few people jump that may have been on the fence. On my own personal purchases: Lume Sport: I give it a B. Great lume when charged up, nice size, nice looking watch, looks way nicer than you'd think for $99. Wish they would have put an auto movement in it for that price. I have several pro divers with rubber straps and MOP dials, which they were selling for $65, and they could have easily put that Japanese auto movement in that watch. Invicta II goldtone/blue dial: I give it a B-. I guess you get what you pay for $78. It does have a very cheap feel to it, though on the positive side, it has a Swiss Ronda in it, and the Invicta blue is stunning. Awaiting- the Outdoor/railroad approved TTV for $59, I liked the way it looked, so I think it's

worth the price. And ordered the SA IV midsize chrono combat on rubber, great price of $268 with $44 VP's. scott99 View Public Profile Send a private message to scott99 Find all posts by scott99 Add scott99 to Your Contacts #39 Yesterday, 09:54 PM

Well I picked up a Stauer No7 Regulator II and a Croton off ther "As Is" Page, There are days I wish SHOP would go to 12 VP I do believe more people could handle that in todays economy, Saw too much High End stuff and Entry Level stuff, Id have loved to seen a few RD's original styles and all but I give it a B__________________ I hear voices in my head...watch voices...screaming...BUY ME!!! Hum? I would say B, as yes alot of the same old, howver mixed in with some new watches. I also thought outside of a few watches such as the Lupah Rev Brown dial/silver @ $126 & the Gearhead Rosetone Auto @ $244, the prcing on most was ok at best. BTW: I broke down picked up both of the above watches :-) __________________

Grade

Must admit that I watched most of the event - yikes. Wife was extremely patient with the entire process. Can't state that I was disappointed or upset and not sure if a grade is absolutely necessary. I'm an avid collector so I took the time to research the newer product and determine if it fit into what I was interested in. So, as not to wobble on your query, I'd

prefer to see a more rapid fire approach with many more watches compared to the reptitive nature of the programming. So after all of this, I'd give it a B. dhorsfield View Public Profile Send a private message to dhorsfield Find all posts by dhorsfield Add dhorsfield to Your Contacts #55 Today, 05:48 AM Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Warwick, RI Posts: 2,217 Real Name: Jason

I would give it a C. Not impresed with the high pricing of the shop and the new design direction for the Akula and the large amount of rubba. Sea Excursion is interesting but the price is way too high. __________________

i rate a C-. shows were ok but seemd like 10 days of the same schedule. i know that's business, and goal was to get the watches out there but ya just get to a point where ya cant watch anymore, and then when ya turn off ya miss something new. prices were ok, average for SHOPNBC. i think alot of people are relying on the sale prices, SR prices and DOD sites. __________________

I didn't get one watch but all the hype made me want the CF and Scuba but it was more about not getting the watch and being left out of the party. No what I mean?Having said this, I watched a lot of the shows and enjoyed them greatly. I give it a solid B on a curve and if I actually picked up the CF or Scuba I would have given it a A+. I watched a little the first day, a little the second day and channel surfed over to see what was being shown during commercials during the rest of the event. I also checked the web to see if anything new and interesting was going to be on during which hour so that I could be a little more diligent in the surfing. To put a grade though on the overall event I would have to give it ... well it seemed that almost each time I hopped back or watched for a watch or two airings that it was the same watches as already been seen but this time being shown by a different host and a different Invicta representative so overall I would say the event was no more spectacular than any other multi-day multi-hour event and at this point I'm rather glad its over, reruns on the soap opera and game show channels were starting to get a little old. Completely bored through most of the event, although it is always nice to see the guys (and gals) , tired of hearing about Basil (?). I bought the Nitro TTV-X and today I see it's less on WOW and free shipping. I am curious about the people saying they'll wait for the price of the Scuba to come down- if it's not already sold out, it was a "once only" price, so if you wanted it and decided to wait you're going to be waiting a long time I think. I'd give it a C to be nice. MattC View Public Profile Send a private message to MattC Find all posts by MattC Add MattC to Your Contacts #71

Just hold onto that cash, and either use it elsewhere, or be patient, and wait for the Scuba to move into what you deem a reasonable pricepoint... IMO the price set for the Scuba SW500 was out of line compared to the recent Speedway DD, Diamond Lupah SW500, PD 7750, and Android SJ500. I believe the Shop and "I" are testing a new marketing strategy of Limited production, and higher prices, with higher shipping charges to see the consumers pricing threshold. I did not buy it, and don't buy in retail stores. And if you check other thread posts, and the Shop inventory today, you will see limited availability of the Black/Black, and Silv/Black --- I guess a few buyers thought better of their purchases. After 4 hours of J.S. "Hyped" presentations (50 Mins), they still couldn't sell out 450 units ??? Watched some, have to tell you though, a lot of hours put in on camera, tough grind. All the hosts and Michael looked refreshed and enthusiastic, even under the pressure of getting ready for Basel, that is a feat in itself, kudos on that. Glad to see others picked up some grails that sang. The product mix must be a tough call, with 1200 running styles, how do you make the right mix choice, not easy. On the net there are so many models I have no knowledge of, the Shop has a micrcocosm of what they manufacture. To grade it, too tough, every need is different, I didn't watch all of it, but the new Scuba 500, was good looking indeed, I like the woven steel dial

in light color, didn't last long, but whoever snagged one will love that timepiece, and a hearty congratulations on getting one quickly. I like the stacked subdials at 12 and six, very sharp indeed. __________________

I would give it an overall B. It was an OK event, but I was starting to get bored with the same items being repeated over and over and over and over and over and over...oh you get the message. Prices I thought were not bad and some things were outstanding. The highlights of the event were the Scuba SW500, CF, and the sport luminary and of course Jim trying to get Michael to crack up as usual. __________________

C for me -- picked up a clearance Lupah Revolution in charcoal and purple. Got sick and tired seeing that gaudy Excursion Touring every single show. There were a number of watches that seemed to be priced just a tad bit high for me. I think the sub-$200 range (where I exist) wasn't populated enough whereas if you were coming in looking to spend big bucks on a great watch this event was for you.

C average event nothing except the Scuba and the more I looked at it I passed on it. I should have bought the Seiko Speedway from Amazon for $349 but missed it.

I guess to some extent, it depends on what you scored. For example, I didn't buy anything until right at the end and scored a Imperious auto with the rose bracelet. For that, I felt like it was an "A" however, as to the rest, ho hum... __________________ "There's a difference in livin' and livin' well..."

If we are grading, I would have to give the Spring Forward Event a B+. There were many new models and some pretty great prices. I did cave and picked up the CF auto. I have always wanted a CF with the bracelet. I also thought the shows were very entertaining. Thanks Invicta and ShopNBC. Rich

I've updated my rating...overall I have to give it a solid B. Although I think it started on the slow side, the last 2 days came alive IMO. Yes, there was a lot of repeats, but, some folks got some pretty killer deals on some watches. Like the Excursion for 120.00 something, etc. I never watched so many watches in my life...lol. Although I only picked up the CF for a friend ... I enjoyed it. I really liked the SAN111 2. edition series. Props for all those who got what they wanted for a killer price. __________________

C to C- Just did not see anything that moved me and the past two years before were much better. Wish I could say it was great but I must be honest.

I found them enjoyable and entertaining, Mike seemed a little tired some times but that I'm sure is a lot of hours and it wears on you. The offering was good, a nice cross section for many types of buyers. Not as much for the pure collector though. I give it a solid B __________________

C for the week. The one purchase I made is already marked 22% less elswhere. Made 3 snags on DOD sites with no downside noted. Shops prices seemed high. Lots of cool new Invictas. __________________ Beatings will continue until morale improves

Strong A at the begining of the event slowly turned into a C by the end. Was very tired of seeing the Gold

Exscursion on so many times. On top of that I just received the new Sea Spider with the spider at the 8 o'clock, and it is missing one of the decorative screws. I wonder what Invicta does for this situation? Anbody else have this problem? __________________

I don't believe your gonna be able to get either of the watches with the Sw500 in them for much less because they won't be able to get the movement. It's not like the Ocean Quest where nothing was really a hard to get as far as parts to make the watch. If this Sw 500 is as good as they are saying it will be in high demand by all the watch produceres and could end up be like the Vals. and not get it or pay top dollar for a year wait. So I believe it depends on how this movement spashes before we know if the buyers of these Invicta's will be in the same shape as when the OC's first came out. But Invicta with thier next shipment might put it in the San IV or the New San V or new SAS who knows, but once these two are sold out it might be the last time u see them with this movement,so CONGRATS TO THOSE WHO BOUGHT THEM. I bought nothing for the first time in 3 years, just didn't have what I could afford right now or anything except the Bolt that I really liked. If the Bolt was an Auto I would have bought it on the Bracelete. I'd give it a C-, to many days with same watches, and no surprises like in past years that I seen.
