Welcome to our Spring Newsletter. Hopefully the wet and wild weather is now behind us and we can look forward to the promise of better summers! Thank you to all of you who continue to support our two adult hospices. Your help means that we have been able to offer specialist palliative care for patients with life limiting conditions and provide support to their families at the most difficult of times. I am pleased to be able to report that the major refurbishment of Mount Edgcumbe hospice is nearing completion. The hospice will fully reopen in May with much improved patient facilities and a revitalised infrastructure. My thanks to all the patients, families, staff and volunteers who have borne with the inevitable disruption during the works. Time seems to have flown at St Julia’s Hospice since we built the new annex providing much needed extra space and increasing the available beds from 8 to 12. New staff have been welcomed and are settling in to offer our high standards of care to more patients than ever before. It’s
