GRADUATION CEREMONIES
FRIDAY
4 NOVEMBER 2022

4 NOVEMBER 2022
It’s my honour to welcome you today as we celebrate your graduation with The Cornwall College Group (TCCG).
The whole of our TCCG community is enormously proud of all that you have achieved during your time studying with us and we look ahead with anticipation to what you will do next.
Each one of you has shown both determination and passion in order to succeed and today’s ceremony is the culmination of your years of meticulous study and hard work.
In addition to gaining your qualification, you leave having acquired the knowledge and skills to continue learning, exploring and adapting as our world rapidly changes around us.
You will be the ones to make a difference in our world. To experiment with ideas, explore challenging issues and test solutions to problems in every field.
The award you receive today is testament to your brilliance. The incredible enthusiasm and resolve you have demonstrated will stand you in good stead, in whatever your next step may be.
Today’s ceremony also marks the first graduating cohort of Cornwall College’s own brand new university provision, Newquay University Centre. It’s an exciting step for TCCG, which allows us to shape our own innovative university-level programmes, designed to address the skills gap and support growing industries.
As you embark on your next chapter, it’s time to reflect on all that you’ve gained during your time studying. Wherever these skills take you, remember that we will be here to support you, to cheer you on and to celebrate your next success.
On behalf of myself and all the staff at TCCG, I wish you the very best of luck for your future!
Well done. You’ve been remarkable.
Principal and Chief Executive of The Cornwall College Group
Our small and friendly University Centre, located in the bright and bustling town of Newquay, specialises in animal behaviour, zoology, marine conservation and surf science. Offering a unique university experience, thanks to its unrivalled student support and close working partnerships with Newquay Zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium.
With over £10 million spent on redevelopments in recent years, our Camborne campus offers the largest and most diverse mix of university-level programmes from across TCCG.
Rosewarne’s beautiful surroundings and friendly community make it one of the most unique places to study in the region. Small class sizes, along with access to incredible resources and facilities, create a learning experience much-loved within Cornwall and beyond.
Based around a thriving harbour and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Falmouth Marine School is a historic, industry-standard training facility for the marine sector including ocean sciences, technology and boatbuilding.
Set on stunning rolling hillsides, Duchy Stoke epitomises the very best of land-based education. The recent addition of the £4 million Future Farm research facility means students and businesses are at the heart of the next evolution of environmental farming.
Our St Austell campus has breath-taking views over St Austell Bay, hosts excellent learning resources and has close links with many businesses to provide our students with great work experience opportunities during their studies.
Set in acres of outstanding natural beauty in East Devon, Bicton is our land-based college home with a difference.
The Georgian manor house provides an incredible centrepiece for a wide range of land-based courses including a growing range of university-level programmes.
The Golf Education Partnership
Tournament Golf College and the Golf College, deliver specialist golf degrees as well as business degrees. With incredible facilities on luxury resorts in the UK at St Mellion and East Sussex National and then at Amendoeira in Portugal and Isla Canella in Spain.
The world-class training and learning is enhanced with partnerships within the golf industry, combining academic study with high levels of competition.
Eden Project’s world-famous architecture and gardens, coupled with specialist plant collections, growing facilities, dedicated laboratory and design studio, provide a world-class study platform.
