This fast growing neighborhood is the home to the city’s biggest tech firms and an easy walk to downtown. Grab one of the city’s rental bikes or hop on the Seattle Streetcar to visit the Seattle Art Museum, 5th Avenue Theatre, ACT Theatre, Seattle Symphony, and so much more.
The shuttle service from Cornish Commons also goes to the Cornish Playhouse at Seattle Center, which is used year-round for student productions as well as dozens of events put on by local arts organizations and nonprofits. The Performance Production studios are located nearby. The Seattle Center is home to Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle International Film Festival, and special events throughout the year. The College’s free shuttles will take you from Cornish Commons to Kerry Hall on Capitol Hill. This historic landmark building has been home to Cornish’s music and dance departments since 1921. The neighborhood is known for its modern dance companies, eclectic small theaters, music venues, and galleries as well as the gorgeous Volunteer Park.
