Residents concern about proposed housing plan

Millbrook fear over flood risk

Residents in Millbrook are concerned about a proposed housing development which they believe will significantly increase the risk of repeating the flooding that occurred in the village fve years ago.

The Mount Edgcumbe Estate is applying for planning permission to build nine houses in the field above the close of Millpool Head, which includes a stream that drains surface and excess water from the proposed development site.

Following the severe flooding of Millbrook village centre in 2012, Cornwall Council and the Environment Agency will be undertaking work to increase the capacity of the drainage system for the Millpool Head stream this autumn, with the purpose of preventing further flooding.

However, the planned work does not take into account the proposed new housing development and the increase drainage that will be required. It is also rumoured that if the building goes ahead, planning permission for a further ten houses will be sought.

County Councillor George Trubody, who played a major role in the rescue operation during the flooding, has been alerted to residents’ concerns.

Rame’s young rowers star in big Portsmouth event Safe to say, no couch potatoes among the members of Rame Gig Club this past month, with members travelling far and wide to compete in various regattas.

First was a trip to Mevagissey. Rame had the support of its youngest to its oldest rowers competing in this regatta. The club also had some of its’novice rowers’ along, taking part in their first ever event and claiming third place in the novice race, which did a lot for their confidence for future races.

The Men’s Vets and Under 16s also claimed third places in their races, so there were a lot of happy faces at the end of a long day of racing.

The following week the club went to Looe, for their re-scheduled regatta. It was the youngsters of the club who claimed top honours here. The Under 14s with a well deserved first place and the Under 16s in a well fought out second spot.

The club competed in two regattas on July 8. The main part of the club travelled just across the water to Mountbatten, for the Cattewater Regatta.

Competition was fierce as always as all clubs wanted top honours. The crew to come away with another first were the

Under 14s (see photo above).

These youngsters just never give up. Coxwain Laurie’s buoy turn was a sight to behold and was commented on by many of the spectators. After a day of racing eight club members decided to row the gig back to Cawsand.

Whilst fun was being had at Cattewater the Under 16s, with a support crew, travelled all the way to Portsmouth to take part in the Langstone Juniors Sprint Events.

There were three different age category sprint races, of 0.5 nautical miles. Rame entered a mixed crew of three girls and three boys in the Under 16 race with cox

The youngsters did an amazing job. They spent Saturday travelling to the event and then camped that night (with not much sleep). They went on not only to win their race but totally smashing the time of the winning Under 18s by 27 seconds.

Diary dates Sunday August 27 - The club will be holding their second fun day of the season, on Cawsand Beach. All welcome to enjoy lots of fun in the sun.

Keen to spread the enjoyment of sailing, Cawsand Bay Sailing Club members are hosting Wednesday evening training sessions for a group of local children.

The Cadets cover a wide age range but all are personally tutored by experienced club racers. After an explanations and instructions ashore, of rigging, handling and safety, the children take to the water. The club’s powered safety boats keep the Instructors close to the boats, coaxing, encouraging and correcting, as it happens.

The Wednesday evening sessions begin at 5pm. Personal coaching enables new attendees to be brought up to speed very

simply and easily. We welcome parents to support and learn with their kids, and as the children’s interest increases, the club’s fleet of boats are made available to hire on club days when the safety boats are also in attendance.

Country Dance Day is a huge success at Torpoint Nursery The first parents queued outside Torpoint Nursery and Infant School more than two hours so that they could get a prime position to watch all the dances on Country Dance Day. Even though the event did not start until 1.30pm people queued around the block and even brought rugs to sit on!

Excitement ran high throughout the afternoon as all children, including those from Nursery performed two dances with the theme of ‘Sun, Sea and Sand’.

Favourites such as Club Tropicana, We’re Going to Ibiza and Surfing USA all went down well, with the whole school ending the event by dancing a wonderful routine to Blame it on the Boogie.

Even parents got a chance to show off their talents and were led by the Year 2 teachers to dance to Surfing USA. In between these dances every single Year 2 child took part in a Maypole Dance, with the school’s new Maypole (hand crafted by staff at Bake Sawmill) being unveiled for its first outing.

Once the dances had finished the Summer Fair started and adults and children alike played games, had their faces painted and generally had fun.

Head Teacher, Elisabeth Carney-Haworth commented: “This is the most wonderful day for our school. The fact that the whole community comes together to share in this event which has such a long history, is truly special.

“We love the traditions which make our school so distinctive and being able to share with parents, grandparents and others who just want to be there is lovely. The children thoroughly enjoy learning the dances and our drummers felt very special as they opened the whole event.

“Thank you to everyone who helped to make it happen, to all those who came to share it with us and for all the fantastic comments which were made to me this morning.”

Torpoint Arts Festival is a winter event for Torpoint and the Rame Peninsula that is in the early stages of organisation for Saturday November 25.

Organisers are looking for local artists, furniture makers, photographers, pottery makers, in fact anyone who loves to create and would like a chance to exhibit their work in a small exhibition that will be part of the Festival.

This is an event for those people who would not normally show their work, to share and enjoy creativity in all its forms.

Organisers also want to hear from acoustic musicians, singers and performers who would like to get involved.

Message from the Mayor of Torpoint The past four weeks have been a fantastic opportunity for me to be out and about meeting the people that make Torpoint such a wonderful place to live.

The community really came together to make the recent Feel Good Festival such a resounding success, with songs, dance and other diverse entertainment culminating in one of the best ever local display of fireworks.

My thanks again to the Torpoint Town Partnership (TTP) Committee, Andy Martin Production Support, Torpoint Community Events, the performers, representatives from the participating schools, stall holders and benefactors; you all helped to make this community event possible. Who says nothing ever happens in Torpoint!

With regret I report that there have been several cases of fly tipping recent reported to Cornwall Council. This is detrimental to the environment and is also a potential health and safety risk. Date for your diary: The Mayor’s Civic Service and Parade is being held on Sunday September 10 from 11am at St. James Church, Torpoint. Those joining the Parade are invited to assemble in Buller Road outside the Council Chambers by 10.15am, the procession leaves at 10.35am.

Torpoint Town Council wish to thank all the local residents who completed the consultation questionnaire on proposals to close Adela Road the purpose of which was to understand how the road is currently used, the frequency and by whom.

The town council is currently evaluating and analysing the consultation which resulted in almost two hundred responses. As a result of the consultation exercise Cornwall Council have now confirmed that Adela Road forms part of footpath 6 and is therefore a Public Right of Way under the Highways Act 1980. The Town Council understands that the intention of Cornwall Council is to better the surface within 12 months. There is no intention to close the road. Classic car rally at Mount Edgcumbe The Friends of Mount Edgcumbe in collaboration with Cornwall Hospice Care (www.cornwallhospicecare.co.uk) will be showcasing the best of British, European and American vintage classic cars at The Classic Car Rally on August 6.

This year the event will be bigger and better than ever with a huge range of vehicles to feast your eyes on as well as the 23rd Annual Summer Farye including stalls and a car boot sale.

There will also be bouncy castles, go karts and the all new classic Mount Edgcumbe model train to catch for the children to enjoy. Entrance to the event is free and all day car parking a snip at just £5 per vehicle.

All proceeds from the event will go to the two registered charities Cornwall Hospice Care and the Friends of Mount Edgcumbe.

MBE for Claire’s outstanding Navy service A Torpoint woman has received the MBE from the Queen on the Birthday Honours list for Outstanding Service in the Royal Navy.

Claire Hughes has been in the Royal Navy for 11 years and has been awarded the MBE after managing the career branch of the Royal Navy engineers.

She was responsible for a number of duties, including assigning personnel to ships in a difficult period of redundancies. It was a very testing time for the Royal Navy but due to Claire’s efforts, the Navy was able to deploy ships to essential operations.

Claire managed to handle this mammoth task whilst her husband James was serving tours in Afghanistan and spent a year training in Germany.

She manages to run the family home, bring up their daughter Tilly and commit herself fully to the Royal Navy’s endeavours.

Claire, who has been working as an instructor at HMS Raleigh since September, said: “I would like to thank my family and friends for all the support they have always given me.

“They were all buzzing when I told them about the MBE and have told everyone they know about it.

“I could never have imagined receiving an award like this. I have been acknowledged for my work before but never could have foreseen this.

“My job at Devonport was stressful and there were good and bad days, but walking away with an MBE has certainly made it all worth it.”

Claire was recommended for an MBE by Royal Navy commander David Wilkinson.

Claire and James have both lived in Torpoint for 10 years and class Cornwall as their home.

Nurse’s research to help older people live healthier lives

Although people are living longer, they are not necessarily living healthier, says nurse consultant for older people in Cornwall, Helen Lyndon.

So to help elderly people live healthier lives, she has begun a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Plymouth.

The fellowship will see Helen – who works for the Cornwall Foundation NHS Trust – conduct a feasibility study aimed at developing, implementing and testing a nurse-led intervention to improve healthy living in older people with frailty.

Known as the HAPPI study – Holistic Assessment and care Planning in Partnership Intervention – the research will take place over four years, and is supervised by academics in the University’s Faculty of Health and Human Sciences.

Helen recently completed a twoyear secondment as the Clinical Lead for Frailty with NHS England, and has spent the majority of her career in community primary care or home settings, with a particular interest in supporting older people with long-term conditions.

While undertaking her PhD, her fellowship enables her to continue her clinical work.

Helen said: “The intervention I’m developing will ask the question ‘what can we do better?’ to help older people live healthier lives. It focuses on supporting older people living with frailty in a primary care setting – meaning a community nurse could utilise the intervention straight away.

“It’s great that people are living longer but research shows that this does not necessarily mean they’re

living a healthy life – and I’m keen to help nurses and health professionals to ensure that older people living with frailty have the best quality of life possible.”

The work will see Helen collect qualitative data to develop and refine the intervention, work with Peninsula Clinical Trials Unit (PenCTU) to carry out a randomised control trial to test the intervention’s feasibility, and gain feedback from patients and clinicians on its effectiveness.

Helen added: “When choosing an institution for my PhD, I picked Plymouth as I had met Bridie (Kent – Head of School of Nursing and Midwifery) as head of the clinical school at Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, and knew how supportive she and her colleagues had been. The first weeks of my experience here have been brilliant, and I’m looking forward to the next four years.”

Jos Latour, Professor in Clinical Nursing, said: “It’s fantastic that Helen has chosen to undertake her PhD at the University of Plymouth and that she was successful in obtaining the NIHR fellowship.

“The fellowship promotes clinical academic career development and we’re looking forward to seeing the progress of this intervention to help improve the health and wellbeing of older people.”

Town Council By Election on August 3 A By Election is taking place in early August to fill a vacant seat on Torpoint Town Council.

Two candidates are standing for the seat in East Ward with the vote taking place on Thursday August 3.

The candidates are Steve Corbidge, who is listed as an independent on the nomination form, and Odette Norreys.

The successful candidate will join the seven other councillors who represent the East Ward.

The Partnership is the organisation behind such events as the Torpoint Carnival, the switching on of the Christmas Lights and Torpoint Feel Good Festival.

The Lawn was certainly busy in June for the Feel Good Festival with a vast array of local talent being showcased along with other groups and organisations.

The evening ended with a spectacular fireworks display.

The event was sponsored by Torpoint Town Council and supported by local businesses, for which the Partnership is extremely grateful.

There were also collecting pots in some of the shops around the town and a bucket collection on the day, and organisers are grateful to everyone who gave, no matter how small the donation.

Collection pots will remain around the town and any money given will be used to help fund further events in Torpoint.

The Partnership will be opening up the tea hut in Benodet Park on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (with the exception of August 19 as this is already being used by the Torpoint Twinning Association) to sell tea, coffee, soft drinks, ice creams and maybe cream teas.

Local residents are invited to pop down to the park for a cuppa and to say hello. All proceeds will be used to help fund future events in the town.

Next stop the Carnival on September 30 – start getting your fancy dress costume ready now!

Year 11 students at Torpoint Community College recently attended their leaver’s prom which was once again held at the college.

This year the Sixth Form Common Room was transformed into a ‘Great Gatsby’ theme with red, black and gold accessories to complement a marquee attached to the outside area which was adorned with balloons by Kardkadia.

The students enjoyed a soft drink cocktail bar, and buffet provided by Tina Crago, the college canteen manager. There was also a sweet table, dress up photo booth and disco by Zak Nicholson as well as photography by Andy Campfield, who stepped in at the last minute to cover the student formal photos.

Many prizes were awarded throughout the evening: Prom King was awarded to Noah Rees and Prom Queen was Katie Harvie; best transport to Kheefer Brindley; Cutest Couple to Rob White and Meg Crago; Disco Dude was Alex Richardson; and finally Disco Diva was Rachel Gordon.

Prom organisers Jenni Howard, Julie Haggerty and Teresa Hodgetts said that a great time was had by all students and staff who attended and once again the sun shone for another successful prom.

Maker with Rame Community Interest Company have expressed their thanks to all the people who have contributed to and enjoyed its events this year.

Maker is an area of outstanding beauty that is an incredibly important place for many people. It is a thriving social hub for musicians and artists with The Canteen, Maker Camping, Random Arms and the Energy Room providing a welcoming environment for all.

Ted attended the camp in 1948 with Prince Rock school after his house was bombed in the war and describes how coming to Maker Camp transformed his childhood: “My playground in Plymouth was on bombsites. Days at Maker were great. The best experience was the camaraderie of the children and the teachers. You were away from the gloom of the noise, the bomb sites, the destruction, you were in open space and free to do almost anything.”

The Gallery at Maker Heights in the Nissen Huts and the Officers Mess opened in July with standing room only for a breathtaking performance by John Fairhurst in the Random Arms. Film and art work from a recent collaboration with the University of Plymouth BA (hons) Media Arts, Fotonow and Maker Memories for a Big Screen Event hosted in Plymouth City Centre was exhibited, including photomontage work by Adela Hill.

The Gallery will be open for the summer from 12 noon to 4pm Friday-Sunday.

RAME PENINSULA ART EXHIBITION This local art show has been running for over 20 years to great success with monies raised going to many local causes.

Many local artists show their work together with a few professionals. The exhibition features a varied selection of paintings, prints and cards – all for purchase.

It takes place between Thursday August 3 and Sunday August 6 in the Kingsand Community Hall, Kingsand from 11am until 6pm (Sunday 4pm). Entry is free.

There is also a popular Preview Evening at 7pm on August 3 with a free glass of bubbly. Entry for this event is £5. Everyone is welcome.

Torpoint sailor Joanne Nightingale receives award for 15 years service A Royal Navy sailor from Torpoint has been awarded a long service and good conduct award for her career which has included counter-piracy patrols.

Leading Physical Trainer Joanne Nightingale joined the Navy in 2001 and her first job was in a warship. She completed an eight-month Arabian Gulf deployment in HMS Cumberland which included anti-piracy and counter-terror operations.

She received her award from Colonel Simon Chapman (Royal Marines) at a ceremony in HMS Drake in Plymouth.

Jo, based at HMS Drake, had various roles on board including part of the boarding team which involves joining the ship’s small boat crew to help with maritime policing of traffic on major shipping lanes. The boarding parties checked on shipping to check for smuggling and other illegal activities.

Her proudest moment on this trip was saving her friend from drowning when they were in Karachi, Pakistan.

After two years in the Navy she transferred to dental nursing after training at Aldershot. Her first job in this role was at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint which she really enjoyed and also received the Commodore’s Prize for her role.

Joanne then moved to Royal Marines, Stonehouse, in Plymouth for two years, before moving to work in Gibraltar for 18 months.

On return to the UK she returned to HMS Raleigh where she was promoted to leading hand and moved to HMS Drake as a dental practice manager.

It was at this time she decided to change her specialisation and retrain as a physical training instructor (PTI) something she had always dreamed of.

After half a year training as a PTI Jo overcame many ‘obstacles’ and passed out of training successfully – despite her own doubts and was awarded best trainee in adventure training for which she was awarded the Tony Partridge Trophy, which she is extremely proud of.

Her first job as a newly qualified PTI was to HMS Sultan, an engineering training shore base near Portsmouth, where she worked for 12 months. She then moved to Dartmouth for a few months until she started her maternity leave after which she returned to work at HMS Drake’s sports centre.

Jo said: “Receiving the good conduct medal has made me feel extremely proud. I never thought I would ever be in this position today 15 ½ years ago nor did I think 15 years would go so fast.”

Lions raise over £1,500 for vital medical equipment Members of Lions Club from across Cornwall gathered for a presentation to Dr Amy Roy of the Oncology Department, Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.

Dr Roy and her department are fund raising for a new £80,000 molecular testing machine and Lion Dave Rosson, chairman of Lions Zone C highlighted the worthwhile cause. He was delighted with the response from fellow Lions. He presented a cheque for £1,550 to Dr Roy. In giving her response, Dr Roy thanked the Lions for their generosity and described the qualities of the machine.

“It enables specific parts of the cancer cells to be tested allowing for early identification of the most effective drugs for the individual patient,” she said.

“Currently samples are sent all around the country, which means a delay before treatment can be started.

“The ability to perform all molecular testing in house at Derriford Hospital will enable the Oncology team to be able to start patients on the most effective treatment more quickly.”

Torpoint Lady Singers chairperson presents a bouquet to Gay Lelerre to mark her retirement from the choir Torpoint Lady Singers contonued their 30th anniversary celebrations with a concert at Millbrook Methodist Church.

It was the latest in the series of of concerts performed during the Torpoint Lady Singers’ anniversary year and a welcome was extended to their guests The Looe Valley Singers. Adrian Wilton was the compere for the evning.

Torpoint Lady Singers sang many of their favourite songs, which included What the World needs now is Love and I Have a Dream.

Sylvia Fraser and Sue Westwell, Torpoint Lady Singers musical director and accompanist played two piano duets, Maria and One Hand, One Heart from West Side Story.

Looe Valley Singers entertained with a variety of music much enjoyed, which included Dream a Little Dream and Island of Dreams.

During the interval Chris Trethewey, Torpoint Lady Singers chairperson presented Gay Lelerre with a basket of yellow and white flowers, as she is retiring from the choir because of ill-health.

Gay will be greatly missed as a truly loyal member of the choir and a great asset to the Alto section. She is also a wonderful jam-maker and her efforts

always contributed to any charity the choir is supporting.

Torpoint Lady Singers with a change of mood in the second half, sang That Dixie-Land Sound and All that Jazz.

Looe Valley Singers introduced their A Capella Group, so new they have’nt got a name yet, both choirs and audience enjoying their talent and their Cornish Songs.

Looe Valley Singers also changed the mood of their music, singing Down in the River to Pray and Lean on Me. Both choirs then combined to sing As Long as I Have Music.

Adrian Wilton brought warmth and laughter to the evening with his jokes, stories and local reminiscences, as he originally came from Millbrook.

The concert was in aid of Millbrook Methodist Church and choir funds.

Torpoint Lady Signers next concert is at Looe Riverside Church on August 6 at 7 pm.

You never know what life will throw at you next...

The long awaited third series of Poldark is now on our screens.

Harrowing scenes of the French civil war and Doctor Enys’s imprisonment are an ongoing backdrop to the series. You just know that Ross, the unwilling hero, will have to try a rescue at some point.

It is interesting to see the rise of the Methodists and the conflict between the established church and the rough and ready Methodist people.

The desperate poverty of the Cornish people is well depicted and the Poldark version of Foodbank is a wonderful selfless act of true Christian love.

The rescue of Doctor Enys comes at the great cost of the life of one of Ross’s closest friends.

The joy of Enys’s release is shrouded in grief and his ongoing battle with post traumatic stress disorder. There will of course be many unexpected twist in the story before season three ends.

The amazing thing is that no matter how much power and wealth that George Warleggan has.

Ross somehow seems to come out on top!

There have been many attempts to reduce the influence that the life of Jesus has had on mankind.

We may feel that the Christian church is losing ground in the western world. Worldwide more and more people believe that Jesus is the only one that can make a real difference in our lives.

His death came at a great cost. He did it to offer

us freedom from rebellion and negative behaviour.

Jesus is a real hero one who’s love for mankind never diminishes no matter what we do.

It will be interesting what happens next to Ross, Demelza and all the other characters. I am sure we won’t like all that is in store for them.

You never know what life will throw at you next!

In my experience whatever happens, the Lord God is able to help us through.

He is more interested in our lives than we could ever think. He will not push his way into our lives, but if we ask him to help he will.

A Royal Navy Master-At-Arms (MAA) from Plymouth, who has helped induct over 10,000 recruits into the Service, is hanging up his uniform after a career spanning five decades.

MAA Ian Gritt has served at HMS Raleigh for the past six and a half years where he has been responsible for standards and discipline within the Initial Naval Training School. This is his second stint at the training base in Torpoint. He also undertook the role between 2002 and 2004.

Originally from London MAA Gritt first joined the Royal Navy in 1979, arriving at the gates of the HMS Raleigh at the tender age of 16 for his own basic training.

The 54-year-old said: “To end my career where it all started is a major highlight, watching young civilians develop into sailors. I also feel a sense of pride serving with some of the training staff that I took through in my first role as the MAA here. It has been an absolute pleasure to have met the parents and families routinely on Fridays whilst conducting the passing out presentations on the recruits’ behalf. I can assure you that I would serve alongside any recruit that has passed out of HMS Raleigh.”

A keen footballer in his day, MAA Gritt is a previous captain of the Combined Services Gibraltar and the Plymouth Command Team. He also

He said: “I feel extremely proud to have served my country as a member of the Royal Navy for over 38 years, and it has also been a huge privilege to have spent the majority of my career in Plymouth, were the Services have always been made to feel so welcome.

But it’s now my turn to sit on the Hoe and watch the next generation of sailors deploying, protecting the nations interest, but hopefully also having fun.”

Blue was definitely the theme colour for the Wilcove WI Garden Party, held in July to celebrate the Queen’s Sapphire Jubilee.

Guests were asked to wear something blue and there were blue flowers, bunting, tablecloths and even blue cocktails – one guest certainly marked the occasion in style by wearing a union jack suit!

There were games, a mystery raffle and, as you would expect for the WI, a delicious afternoon tea for all. The event raised £174 for the Torpoint and Rame Nurses’ Friends charity, which has been helping to buy equipment for nurses and other health care professionals to enable them to deliver better care in the local community since 1987.

The speaker at the July meeting in Wilcove was Sheron King, owner of the Mad Hatters Textile Studio and Workshop near Plympton, who talked about ‘Thinking and making with found objects’.

Sheron explained how to think differently about objects, imagining their previous life and significance to others, and encouraged us to reuse and repurpose as much as possible to ‘celebrate’ the items and avoid waste.

Many of us were encouraged to learn that, according to Sheron, accumulating things isn’t ‘hoarding’ but is ‘collecting’ for future use! She brought examples of her beautiful fabric art and jewellery to demonstrate how she has repurposed items, and explained about the workshops available in her studio to learn her techniques.

After a summer break in August the next meeting will be on Tuesday September 19, when the speaker will be Christine Meakin, talking about ‘Memories of an adopted child’. As usual visitors are welcome to

In the absence of the President, Sylvia White, VicePresident, welomed everyone to the June meeting and introduced guest speaker for the evening, Diane Lawer of the Plymouth Postcards Collectors Club, who gave us a most interesting and amusing insight into the Lighter Side of WW1 through an amazing collection of postcards.

The theme of the postards used at the beginning of the war were very light-hearted picturing children, recruiting requests for volunteers in lots of different ways, ie the Pals Battalions and the Terriers.

They covered many subjects including khaki, military terms, sentimental messages, regimental details, rationing and the economy, the land girls and nursing, lots of which could be very humorous but as the war went on the pictures on the postards changed to a much more serious theme.

A brilliant talk from Mrs Lawer who dressed for us as a First World War nurse.

Letters of thanks have been received from the Oncology Department at Derriford Hospital for the donation we made in memory of Pauline, and from the Cornwall Blood Bikes.

The Maker Heights Families Day was very successful and it was agreed that the proceeds received would be donated to Denman College.

The Group Meeting which will be a Boules evening at Seaton on September 5.

Sue Walters from Wilcove WI was our delegate at the Annual Meeting in Liverpool, attended by 5000 ladies, who were welcomed by the Mayor of Liverpool.

The two resolutions, Alleviating Loneliness and Plastic Soup: keeping miroplastic fibres out of the oceans, were passed.

The Lions Fair was held on Saturday July 15 and members were asked to provide cakes and to help on the day. The Summer Supper was held on Wednesday July 26 with a high tea with sandwiches, cakes, etc. and members were asked to dress for the occasion.

Competition results - letter Z - 1st Cath Olufsen, 2nd Hilda Sims, 3rd Sue Hale and Flower of the Month - 1st Sue Hale, 2nd Pat Pickett, 3rd Joan Jones.

The next meeting entitled Faberge & the Russian Royals will be held on Wednesday August 23 at 7.30 pm in St James Church Hall and visitors are always welcome.
