Plymkids Youth Company are excited to be returning to the Plymouth Athenaeum, to present this year’s production of Les Misérables! Join us for one of the world’s most loved musicals, performed by a talented cast of young local performers. Some of you may remember the Les Misérables cast from when they created the Mayflower 2020 flashmob performance of One Day, wowing passersby on Armada Way back in September 2017.
A design-led consultant team behind some of the UK’s most impressive regeneration schemes has been appointed to lead a £27 million project to transform the open spaces and pedestrian areas around the city centre.
They will work alongside the city council’s own team in taking visions and principles already outlined in the City Centre Masterplan and Joint Local Plan and turning these into detailed projects.

Students take on hotel tasks
In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean’s adopted daughter.
