Mackenzie Olsson (Year 8) SA U14 Boys Softball Mackenzie Olsson received the joint MVP for the SA U14 Boys softball team for his efforts at the National Championships in Canberra over the Easter weekend – congratulations.

Chelsea is pictured with John Khouzam who presented the Award. The Award is named in honour of his daughter Natasha Khouzam who was tragically killed whilst riding cross country at a State Level competition.

So after also winning the State Eventing Championships at Naracoorte, Chelsea and Squiggles have certainly had a big 12 months and she is now having a well-earned break before she kicks off again late August.

Cross Country State Championships

Matthew Hacquoil (Year 7), Harrison Gould (Year 7), Daniel Van der Merwe (Year 7) and Jade Callaghan (Year 11) competed in the Cross Country State Championships on Thursday, 9 June.

Haidyn Ingram (Year 10) Congratulations Haidyn on playing soccer on a state level again this year (Junior NTC).

Kinyin Anderson (Year 7) Kinyin competed in the State Fencing Championships and placed first in his age group and will be representing in Nationals later this year. Congratulations Kinyin.

Madi Fox (Year 11) Madi has been selected to represent the State in the mixed basketball team at the Special Olympics in Tasmania in October this year.

Special Olympics gives people with intellectual disabilities the confidence they need to succeed, on and off the playing field and is part of a global inclusion movement for people with intellectual disabilities using sport as a platform to unite people and promote inclusion. Children and adults with intellectual disabilities can be confident, independent, healthy and brave − just like me and you. Special Olympics Australia’s National Games competition runs every four years and provides athletes and people with intellectual disabilities the ability to come together with their peers and compete in their chosen sports and win gold!
