Adelaide Choral Eisteddfod

Somethin’ Else Jazz Vocal Ensemble travelled down to Elder Hall to compete in the Adelaide Choral Eisteddfod on Wednesday, 15 June. They performed against other schools in the Open Age, Small Choir Division and performed the pieces “Landslide” and “His Eye is on the Sparrow”. The choir performed with musicality, strong blend and style and placed third in their division. Congratulations! Sophie Zerner Teacher

Music in May

Music in May was held in Atelier Theatre on Thursday, 26 May. The evening showcased the progress of the Senior School Ensembles who performed to a welcoming and supportive audience. Studio Ensemble, Hot House, Senior Vocal Ensemble, Somethin’ Else and On the Corner Jazz performed alongside Year 12 soloist and the Year 10 Class Band, showcasing a broad range of music styles. 2023 Student Leadership Applications commence in Term 3

Service is core to all we do, and leaders at Cornerstone are required to actively contribute to the benefit of all. Student leadership also involves presenting a positive example to the student body in regard to College culture and standards, including but not limited to, behaviour, uniform, punctuality and encourages others to do the same. College Leaders (Year 12, 2023 only) Applications for College Leaders commence on first day of Term 3. College Leaders at Cornerstone demonstrate the Christian values that form the foundation of the College and have a significant influence in creating opportunities for others. Six College Leaders are appointed and their role includes representing the College and creating opportunities to link the Middle and Senior Schools together. • Application information will be available for current

Year 11s from Senior School Student Reception (SSSR) from Monday, 25 July. • Applications will CLOSE on Monday, 8 August at 4.00pm (Week 3). These positions will commence at the start of Term 4, 2022. House Leaders (Years 9 and 12, 2023 only) Each House will appoint four Middle School (Year 9 students) and four Senior School (Year 12 students) as House Leaders. Their role includes upholding and developing House culture and values and encouraging students to participate in activities and events.
